  1. Asus P5LD2 and EFI

Thanks. I'll try Iatkos, and look for that thread. edit: Can you put a link to that thread?
  2. Second core with P5LD2

How'd you get leo on P5LD2 in the first place. I've been trying with Kalyway 10.5.1 DVD with no luck. No matter what I've tried in BIOS, the installer fails at the end with an "unknown error."
  3. Asus P5LD2 and EFI

I've been trying to install the Kalyway DVD, which includes the EFI support, on my P5LD2 + C2D with no luck. Kalyway thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=77069
  4. That doesn't sort out my problem. I was already selecting the vanilla kernel, as well as EFI for GUID. The installer still fails with an "unknown error." specs: Asus P5LD2 (Rev 2.0) intel c2d 2.66ghz 2gb ram 300gb sata hdd (Formatted with GUID) 256mb geforce 7300 BIOS: Execute Disable Bit: Enabled CPUID: Disabled ACPI 2: Enabled
  5. Leopard Installation on Asus P5LD2

I can't get Kalyway DVD to work on my P5LD2. Installation fails with an "unkown error" no matter what I do in BIOS.
  6. I get the same message. I checked the MD5 on my ISO, and re-burned the DVD. Still no good. Checking the install log, it seems that it fails to repair permissions on everything. There are several lines like this: Dec 31 14:21:05 localhost runner[220]: postflight[822]: Warning: SUID file "usr/libexec/authopen" has been modified and will not be repaired and then there's this: Dec 31 14:21:25 localhost OSInstaller[146]: Removing temporary directory "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/BaseSystem.pkg.146cbKFR0" Dec 31 14:21:25 localhost OSInstaller[146]: Could not remove directory /Volumes/Macintosh HD/BaseSystem.pkg.146cbKFR0 Dec 31 14:21:26 localhost OSInstaller[146]: Install failed: The Installer encountered an unknown error that failed the install. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. specs: Asus P5LD2 (Rev 2.0) intel c2d 2.66ghz 2gb ram 300gb sata hdd 256mb geforce 7300 BIOS: Execute Disable Bit: Enabled CPUID: Disabled ACPI 2: Enabled
