Reinekis
I'm wondering what will I need to be able write documents in Lithuanian and Russian? I don't need the system to be in these languagues, just to have possibility to type non english letters of these languages. Will I be able to put support for these languages after installation of ver.2? Gipo
Zephyrot... time is on our side.. it's better one day later and all workin' well that sooner but.... For languages... i think you can quietly strip off all of them but english... and the same for printers drivers if you need space. Better have system drivers, it's easy to add languages and printers in a second time with pacifist. Good work and thanks again for your job. GingerTea
@Gipo: +1, I think it's a good Idea to cut all the languages besides English, and then release a second CD which includes all the languages and other optional add-ons. Gipo
that's good... it's a good idea. but if you got original leo.. it's a work about 10 minutes to extract what you need. My System runs perfectly though, so I don't really mind it. I am now using my Marvell LAN Port, because you can forget about the nForce one, even if I managed to fix it for a few hours, it was still freezing. So I said to myself: screw it. GingerTea
@sergiales: I'm using this kext for my Marvell 88E8001 LAN Port: skge.kext.02e_U, and I deleted the forcedeth kext that I used before. Does this release go with a sempron 64? Because it's blocking on this cpu... It should work, because it supports SSE3. GingerTea
Well let's be happy and help others, our LAN is now working without any problems. I think that people who didn't buy the ULTRA Version of my Board, for example, then they unfortunately only got one LAN Port on their Motherboard. Like for example the nForce4 LAN. I am lucky that I also got a second port, made by Marvell. So if you have only one LAN Port, then you will have to use Rev.2, which is confirmed by zephyroth not to have LAN Freezes with nForce4 LAN Ports. If you have two LAN Ports (works with Rev.1), then simply don't use the nForce4 one. Search for Drivers for your second Port, set it up, and enjoy Leopard without annoying freezes. --- @Raldo Pr: Regarding your CPU: Yes, as far as I know there is an AMD Sempron 2500+ with 64 Bit, and yes, it does support SSE/SSE2 and SSE3, so it will most likely work. Raldo Pr
It's absurd, but there isn't a logical problem. Installation fail before two minutes to end. Esactly, the installer crashes in more different parts of installation, so it seems that cpu is not supported. Anyway, when I boot OS X, Login Window Application start but doesn't appear anything and boot process is blocked. Thanks Puttabong Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73524-new-amd-dvd-for-leopard/page/45/#findComment-558359 Share on other sites

Anyway, when I boot OS X, Login Window Application start but doesn't appear anything and boot process is blocked. Thanks Puttabong If you reach the installer window, then it's likely your processor is supported (at first I was not able even to reach it). Random crashes don't justify that your cpu is not supported. There are other factors like hdd, mobo chipset, etc that may (or may not) be related with your problem. Freezing last minute before finishing the install has been reported by many users here, including me. GingerTea
Freezing last minute before finishing the install has been reported by many users here, including me. I had the same issue by the way, it stopped installing when it had only one minute left. I then simply booted into the Installer again, and there were about 215 MB left to install. The installer applied the missing files and it was installed. Then I at least had the basics for the following procedure of all of the other problems :censored2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73524-new-amd-dvd-for-leopard/page/45/#findComment-558376 Share on other sites
