zephyroth
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR REV.2 I've added support for NForce 2/3/4, VIA Chipset and SB200/400/600 SouthBridge so you can choose what you need in the installer BUT in order to reach the installer your hard drive must be recognized with the install DVD and ... I'm loosing my nerves by trying to put all related kexts in it. The problem is that I have two AppleVIAATA kexts and two IOATAFamily kexts. I've made a choice ... Tell me if it's a good one. zandera
yeah I know, but how do I get the leopard installation to see my HDD? if you have not correct driver (kext) on the instalation DVD there is only one think to do it. buy external sata box conected by USB 2.0. USBOHCI class and USBEHCI class are mainly supported in releases. install to sata in sata box, add correct driver (kext). and there is why i ve been asking you for wich SATA CONTROLLER you have. there are few of them. nForce, Jmicron, Intel, K2, SILimage Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73524-new-amd-dvd-for-leopard/page/42/#findComment-556553 Share on other sites

Bonkey
Don't mean to be such a noob, but to where I do I extract that and how? Any tutorials on this? AJ Riddle, search this thread. there are a couple posts on how to install / load kext file ( using chown and chmod ) Zeph. the driver you gave me looks good. i can't test is right now as i'm at work but i think this might actually work, could you include it in the release? thx allot. BTW, is NVIDIA 7900GT fully supported in the release? i've managed to get the QE/CI @ 1900x1200 working by patching the Geforce.kext / NVDAResman.kext with my ID ( 0x029110de) (and using NVinject 0.1.5 ), then removed all NV*.kext except the 40 an rebuild the cach. zephyroth
Bonkey All dev-id from NVidia website are included in GeForce.kext so I think the dev-id of your card is in it too. All I have to do now is to add drivers for NVidia and kexts so that more hdd will be recognized. And then ... I will release it even if there is still some work to do on it ... ShadeZeRO
I 2nd the idea of bundling "Marvins AMD Utility" And for the X1950XT users: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry264398 JCCools method would be nice as well. As far as other software goes, I think thats good for me. Besides the new IONetworking.kext. As far as making a FAQ Goes, I'm down for lending support. I'll try to make one in text editor for now. If people would like to help, just PM me on what Q/A's I should put into it. So far I'm thinking Drivers, Safemode, Kernel Pane, marvins utility, not sure what else. ЀṾ Ïñ Ðì§gû燎
TRAX - once the installer hangs at 1 min left, just reboot back into the dvd and install again the same way (dont format drive, relabel or anything), dont go to disk utility at all. Basically just install.. This time it will finish installing successfully and quicker as it will just install the files left to install Zeph - can we get a PPF patch for rev2? and is there anyway i can just copy paste the files onto my leopard partition from my windows installation using macdrive?
