I'm using a dv9690el with SnowLeopard 10.6.2 and everything work well.

I have only one problem, i can't show the battery icon on the menu bar.

When i enable it on the setting panel, this is de-selected automatically in less than a second.

I tryed to install voodoobattery kext but always the same problem.

Someone know how to fix it?

Thanks to everyone and sorry for my bad english.

hi now have the dv9000 intel. and i want to install snow leo. can you guys that upload all the modifield kext that will be needed please.

I have a DV9000t CTO

C2D T5600

2GB RAM

160GB Seagate HD

Geforce 7600 (256MB)

1680x1050 display

Dell 1390 Wireless card with hacked BIOS

Integrated Bluetooth

I have sound, video (QE/CI enabled), wireless, bluetooth (even bluetooth headphones which never worked in Tiger), and just about everything except sleep working in Leopard. I installed uphuck 1.4i r2 to a clean partition with appropriate patches, then installed ToH overtop the same partition in order to get it working. The only things that I haven't tested that I can think of are the mic/headphone ports, and the camera. Although I doubt the mic/headphone ports are working anyways.

hello can you uplad the kext that you used to get QE/CI working on your dv9000. please

Anyone got Snow Leopard working good?

My DV9575 has run 10.5.6 iPC Final earlier, the only thing not working was WiFi and sleep.

My spec:

4GB RAM

C2D 2Ghz

nVidia 8600M GS

I would like to know what kexts you need with Snow Leopard. And will you need to create a DSDT?

any fix for snow leopard 6.2 for dv9000 with nvidia 7600go 256mb QE/CI fix any one

Use this dsdt.aml for dv9000 Intel only, remove all extra graphic kexts if you use any, no injectors, no efi strings, just dsdt + fakesmc + ps2 kexts (Extra folder-make mkext) and azalia in S/L/E for sound

for speedstep to work use macbook5.1 as a model in your smbios.plist

things Im still trying to solve:

-display wakeup

-usb removal error

-Duvel restart fix works only if you didnt put system to sleep (currently I use EvOreboot.kext to fix that)

anybody succeed with these ?

                   }

add this to your com.apple.boot.plist :

	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>

that should fix DVD problem

Hi tattootroy,

Yes I am using modded bios to allow my Dell DW 1390 WLAN MINI being recognised.

Also I run software raid0 on Asere 1.1.9 booter.

Here you go: all kexts, plists, dsdt and BIOS Im currently using -> click

Hope you will work out whats wrong with your QE function so we can join forces to find solution for USB removal error and display sleep problem.

You wrote you can see battery icon.. Is that with Extra kext ? I need to use Voodoobattery or AppleACPIBatterymanager.kext to be able to see it.

could you write your CPU temps ? mine 28-32C idle(light use,web browsing) 50-60C full load, according to Temperature Monitor

I had to reflow mobo twice: 1st time last for 3 weeks (win Vista) second time used extra copper plates under CPU & GPU and stays cool under OSX second month.

regards

s

EDIT:

hmm, just remembered somebody had this strange issue.. just in case (regarding QE problem) could you try to reinstall 10.6.2 update ? download combo.

okay so i know that my wireless card isnt supported on iatkos v7 but i was wondering if there is any other card i can install and have it work out of the box to my hp my specs are on my signature i know i can get the broadcom bcm4311 but is there any other cards i can use? is this even a good card??

Guys, I'm now helping my friend to get his dv6599en up and running with 10.6.2, and the major problem at the moment is brightness control. Video (8400M GS 128MB) works like a charm with simple GraphicsEnabler=yes in com.apple.Boot.plist, but brightness control hotkeys hang the machine.

I've removed two HPQ000X devices in DSDT for the moment to avoid accidental pressing of brightness hotkeys, but the solution is still needed.

I've also added PNLF device to DSDT, and I the brightness control slider appeared in Display settings, but I can't move it anywhere, it always stays "full on", even though the display is always at what seems to be 50% bright.

Maybe someone can point me in the right direction here?

Not sure if that will help you but on my system (dv9040) two methods are responsible for brightness control (i mean if I remove them Im losing fn+f7 and fn+f8 key combination to cntrl brightness):

					Method (_Q11, 0, NotSerialized)
				{
					Store (0x14, SMIF)
					Store (Zero, TRP0)
					Sleep (0x32)
				}

				Method (_Q10, 0, NotSerialized)
				{
					Store (0x15, SMIF)
					Store (Zero, TRP0)
					Sleep (0x32)
				}

they are located in Device (EC0) _SB.PCI0.LPCB.EC0._Q11/10

thats how they looked before I stripped them:

					Method (_Q11, 0, NotSerialized)
				{
					If (LEqual (OSYS, 0x07D6))
					{
						If (IGDS)
						{
							Notify (^^^GFX0.DD04, 0x86)
						}
						Else
						{
							Notify (^^^PEGP.VGA.LCD, 0x86)
						}
					}
					Else
					{
						Store (0x14, SMIF)
						Store (Zero, TRP0)
					}

					Sleep (0x32)
				}

				Method (_Q10, 0, NotSerialized)
				{
					If (LEqual (OSYS, 0x07D6))
					{
						If (IGDS)
						{
							Notify (^^^GFX0.DD04, 0x87)
						}
						Else
						{
							Notify (^^^PEGP.VGA.LCD, 0x87)
						}
					}
					Else
					{
						Store (0x15, SMIF)
						Store (Zero, TRP0)
					}

					Sleep (0x32)
				}

have a look at my DSDT posted above to compare it.

still trying to work out how to assign different key combination (F7, F8 with no fn) to cntrl brightness

I have same effect with PNLF device.

good luck

any news about the ps/2 fix problem?

after 5 months i still can't get the keyboard/trackpad working (hp dv9344) :(

i know that this is the INTEL only thread, but i think (or i hope -.-') that this problem isn't related to the processor

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=195335

i tried a looooooot of different solution...all the voodoo releases, the kext uploaded on this forum ecc...

yesterday i tried to install the ps/2 fix from the ipc dvd but it didn't work

could it be an installation problem (not for the kext but for all the system)?

i also have some problem with my nvidia go 7600 (256mb)...when i install the proper kext (the nvinject ones) the external mouse goes crazy...the axis become inverted and when i move the mouse for 1mm the pointer runs through the screen for miles :P ...only when i click on "detect screen" the thing returns normal for some seconds

i hope you can help me ;)

p.s.: sorry for my english :rolleyes:

I got OSX installed on the HP dv6000t CTO I ha

Intel Celeron M CPU 520 1.66GHZ

1.5 GB RAM

Broadcom Wireless/Ethernet

HL-DT-ST CD-RW/DVD Drive

Intel 945 Graphics

120GB HDD

I used iDeneb v1.5.1 10.5.7

Took like 12 installs to get it right

Audio is working haven't tested the output or mic yet but its gorking all the same

The Wireless isn't working obviousy and the only real problem is that when I restart I have to unplug the ethernet and bluetooth and put them back in after reboot if anybody knows how to fix it that would be cool but it isnt that big of a deal
