i went with the 7 series mostly because i'd originally planned to build a hackintosh. i ordered the mobo last of all, and chose the evga over the gigabyte i was looking at. the other factor was cost... i'll prob upgrade for christmas though

 

the cooling wasn't too bad, just had to be careful when installing those 120mm's

 

i saw the orac build, but i was never really a huge fan of it. the mess of cable in his case can't be good for air flow

I hope you fair better than I did with dust and fingerprints.

 

I had 2 boxes like that and I swear the acrylic was a magnet for dust.

 

P.S. If you want even a more dramatic look you can pick up some black light reactive paint.

It's really cheap and applies like nail polish and it's very easy to paint things like PCI slots, or traces on the motherboard for a very cool look.
