  1. IAtkos v7 Installation Problem .

Votre CD est corrupt. Telecharge un nouveau image. Your CD is corrupt. Download a new image.
  2. JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2 Install SLOW

Perhaps your hardware is not compatible. Boot with -v and see if any errors come up during the boot process. The old 10.4.x JaS installation discs do boot rather slowly compared to a native machine booting from an install cd/dvd.

  4. GeForce FX5200 or 6200?

I have used both cards. A fx 5200 and a 6200, the latter is quite a bit faster on Tiger 10.4.11 As my machine is a sse2 rig I haven't experimented with Leopard.
  5. 10.4.8 not booting(stuck at gray screen) :(

It could have something to do with the nvidia cards you guys have. Series 5, 6 and 7 nvidia graphics cards were supported by Tiger, the newer 8 series 8xxx cards need special drivers and can only be used well on the Leopard releases. Try the JaS Leopard release you might end up with a big smile on your faces!
  6. ATI Mobility Radeon 9600

I only got the same card working on Tiger 10.4.11 on my SSE2 Acer Travelmate 292LMi laptop, albeit with resolution change, CI and QE with help of patched radeon.kexts I believe this card only has PPC coded binaries on Leopard and no intel kexts.
  7. Delay when clicking on desktop/application menus

Is your video board fully supported? I've seen similar things happen with the drop down menus when the fancy stuff like QE and CI wasn't working properly.
  8. Nvidia 5500 install woes

It really depends on what version of OSX you are trying out. Could you be more specific? I have managed to get a 5200, a 5500, a 6200 and a 6600 working without much difficulties - all with information on this website. All AGP cards btw. You might want to check out the site PCWiz has created. He has some cool info on how to get graphics cards working.
  9. Apple will be stopping support for PowerPC CPU's with the new OSX 10.6 (Codename Snow Leopard). But of course you'll be able to run Leopard for a while on the G5. I would go for an intel based machine.
  10. ASUS P4S800MX

You are probably best off trying Tiger XxX 10.4.11 or JaS 10.4.8 or 10.4.9
  11. Leo4All v2 on Foxconn MARS w/Intel Q6600 *VANILLA*

Remove the -v option in the boot.info.plist file
  12. ATI Radeon 9200SE 128MB

Get yourself a nice Nvidia 6600 (geforce 6 is preferred on Tiger) and use Natit to get the card properly recognized. I am running the same motherboard with a Geforce 6600 GT AGP card and it is doing great, prey & doom3 run well! I used a 9600 Radeon before but I had artifacts and needed to use a specialized callistoFB thing to get resolution and QE and CI going. Nvidia is the graphicscard of choice on Tiger and Leopard!
  13. Which low-budget Mobo for my 1st Hackintosh ?

Check out the HCL in the Wiki part and do your own research, that is what I can recommend you. As a Linux user you will not have any difficulties in getting it to work once you have chosen compatible hardware.
  14. DELL x86 forum..

Dell Optiplex GX 270 running XxX 10.4.11 without a problem, did opt to use a low profile AGP 7100 Nvidia though.
