I'm looking to buy a cheap iMac and I'm just curious if that one could run OSX.

You can actually run Tiger on that machine if you wanted, just disable Dashboard and Spotlight and it should run fairly decent.

I don't know if the video would support QE or not since you didn't list it. :)

The original AirPort supports 802.11b which transfers data at 11Mb/s.

History: Announced in February 2001, this revision of the iMac finally brought FireWire to Apple's entire product line, in addition to a dramatic change in the iMac "colors". Apple chose to get rid of Sage and Ruby in favor of "Blue Dalmatian" and "Flower Power", two new patterns that were molded into the case using a technique which took Apple 18 months to perfect. The higher-end model iMac got a CD-RW drive, an improved (and faster) PPC 750cx processor, which featured an on-chip 1:1 L2 cache, and a speedy new graphics chip (the 750cx and new graphics chip were initially only available on non-North American models.). It featured a 500 MHz processor, 64 MB of RAM, a 20 GB hard drive and a 56 kbps modem, was available in Indigo, Blue Dalmatian or Flower Power, and was priced at $1199 U.S. The low-end iMac was essentially a renamed iMac DV (Summer 2000), with the price cut to $899 U.S. It had a 400 MHz processor, 64 MB of RAM, a 10 GB hard drive and a 56 kbps modem, and was available only in Indigo.

History: Announced in July 2001, the iMac (Summer 2001) represented a minor change to the existing iMac line, and represented a shift back to a more conservative color-scheme. The iMac (Summer 2001) was initially available in three configurations. The 500 MHz model, with 128 MB of RAM and a 20 GB hard drive was $999 U.S., and was available in Indigo and Snow. The 600 MHz model, with 256 MB of RAM and a 40 GB hard drive, was $1,299 U.S., and was available in Graphite and Snow. Finally the 700 MHz model, with 256 MB of RAM and a 60 GB hard drive was $1,499 U.S., and was available in Graphite and Snow. A low-end $799 U.S. configuration was later added, with a 500 MHz processor, 64 MB of RAM, a 20 GB hard drive, and a CD-ROM drive, and was available only in Indigo. Following the announcement of the new G4 Flat Panel iMac in January 2002, the iMac "G3" was repriced. The 600 MHz model, with 256 MB of RAM, a 40 GB hard drive and a CD-RW drive, was available in either Snow or Graphite for $999 U.S. The 500 MHz model, with 128 MB of RAM, a 20 GB hard drive, and a CD-ROM drive, was available only in indigo for $799 U.S. The 700 MHz model was discontinued.
