Devish
I don't know what is the status of this topic at the moment but one of my hackintoshes having 8600 GS up and running 10.5.5 only with NVKush. It works very slowly, but all things are there (QE/CI), even Dashboard ripples. If I try to inject those NVKush values at the boottime (device-properties) resolution changing works but no QE/CI whatever you do.
crazydance
Guess this goes up once again! I've got a EN8600GTS Silent from ASUS. Tried loads of things, but didn't work! Sys specs: ASUS P5B Deluxe Intel Core2Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz ASUS EN8600GTS Silent 256Mb 2Gb Adata DDR2/800Mhz RAM iDeneb V1.3 (10.5.5) on Chameleon Kernel (At least if that's the kernel you see in the boot loader) Currently running with QuartzGL enabled but no QE/CI Maybe another card? but then again this one's working perfectly under linux and windows, So the darn thing has to work under OSX86. Havent seen scores on the benchmarker though.
crazydance
Update I found the solution to our problem! the ASUS EN8600GTS will work when you follow the notes from wikipedia on the 8600GT. Make sure you have Pacifist and OSX86 tools. And follow the notes EXACTLY like they were written. Use the device ID noted with 0x in front of it. Old Harry MTX
I have a NVidia 8600 GTS Silent 256, and i have installed the Retail. All works, but when i play at some game, like world of warcraft, I have to reduce the graphic parameters, which has not had to do with windows. How do I know which drivers I have installed? webmessia
I have an ASUS EN8600GT Silent with 512MB DDR3. I've tried a lot of packages. injectors and EFI strings. So far I've managed to get resolution changing but no CI/QE. Anyone had any luck with this card? And if so what version of OSX/What distro are you running. Also what packages did you use to get it working? My other specs are: Asrock ALIVE NF6G-DVI Motherboard AMD Athlon X2 6000+ @3GHz 2 x 1GB DDR800 2 x 80GB SATAII HDDs If anyone had this exact card or an 8600GT could you please lend me a hand on getting it working. Also as far as I'm aware a GTS is a overclocked GT using the same core so any details from people with a GTS would help too.
