sigxcpu
There is no OS X X86 retail, so the only two choices are: - a friend with the dvd - torrent Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/53170-where-can-i-get-os-x-x86/#findComment-379043 Share on other sites

Does anyone know of another way I can get it? Thanks!~Jordan First of all, you have to download 10.4.9 OSX torrent file. then you can use Torrent like as Transmissions, u-torrent, bittorrent, xtorrent application. There were several 10.4.9 feedback. http://x86.wowdns.com Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/53170-where-can-i-get-os-x-x86/#findComment-379257 Share on other sites
PainToad
You could look on UseNet but last I looked there was only a really old distro and had missing segments. Torrents really do suck but r ur only option Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/53170-where-can-i-get-os-x-x86/#findComment-379281 Share on other sites
JordanNB
if you have to ask this question, you really shouldn't be doing this kind of thing Not to worry, I've had plenty of experience as far as computers go. I have downloaded, installed, used several Linux distros without error. First of all, you have to download 10.4.9 OSX torrent file. then you can use Torrent like as Transmissions, u-torrent, bittorrent, xtorrent application. There were several 10.4.9 feedback. http://x86.wowdns.com I have tried the torrrents several times with uTorrent and they are extremely slow on my computer (like 10Kbps or less). I have the ports forwarded corectly, but it just isn't working. Any ideas? PainToad
thats normal, not many seeders due to such a big file (the main downfall of bittorrent). I averaged 15kbs...just leave ur comp on for a few days Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/53170-where-can-i-get-os-x-x86/#findComment-379864 Share on other sites

Paulo Greimel
Well, I really can't find a way to forward my ports, but I downloaded OSx86 with a very good speed, something like 70 - 75 Kbps (800 Kbps DSL), but utorrent showed that the total speed of download was 100Mbps!
