BOBD000 Posted December 24, 2008 Share Posted December 24, 2008 Hi- is it essential to use your boot cd or can you use somthing like gparted I managed to install xp and then i installed osx but i can't boot it - at first it said error loading operating system and then i used the osx disc to mark the windows partition as active and then rebooted and set mac as active now my computer just freezes before getting to the darwin bootloader Please help!!! boinkytwo Posted December 30, 2008 Author Share Posted December 30, 2008 the bootcd is not mandatory, it's just a helpful tool to ease up the process. it creates, move and resize partltion without damaging data and also modifies partition tables, you may use other tools that functions like that of my bootcd.
