Is there anyway that we can play multiplayer Halo between his console and my Mac? Thanks! The netcode on both editions of the game are obviously different seeing as how they were built for different platforms and network infrastructures. The same goes for PC Halo; it cannot be played in conjunction with an Xbox/360. Even Halo 2 PC doesn't allow cross-platform play. It is going to be vista only, but there are people out there doing Vista Games emulation in XP. I have to find it again... MS is launching a "Windows Live" service similar to XBL, and Halo 2 Vista will be the first game to support it. Just like on the 360, there will be 2 different typse of Windows Live accounts : Gold and Silver. Silver is free, but Gold you need to pay a monthly fee for. With a Silver account, Windows Live games can only be played with other PC users, whereas Gold lets you play cross-platform multiplayer between the PC and 360.
