why?

virus free nope?

there are loads of pro grams yes. but there al scaterd between differend GUI envirements with just suck. you see your self put on a jacket 30 to 50 times a day it gets anoying because not al your programs work onther the same GUI.

Divers well oud stuff NP but new stuff scouwer the web for new stuff and hope some one made it work.

Great comunitie people will help you off course.

Linux is not like 1 big happy femaly but is splintert between diffetnt GUI tentions between them fun verry high

a month or 2 back even Linus ( the upper peuigin) got upset dist the whole gnome develeper top made a nice vid why gnome sucks. Even did some rewriting of the code to make it better and basicly cald them all fools. :whistle:

 

 

 

why did you think i Switched to mac in the first place? windows sucks and linux in no alternative! i want some think that works is easy to use has great apps suports my hardware.

im npot saying apple is super . even they mess up things oonce in a wile but its tham close to being perfect

Have you tried Ubuntu? ;) I found it rather nice/easy and was able to do everything I wanted without having to boot into windows for months back to back. I still miss the software repositories... made me feel awkward having to visit websites for programs.

I love linux. :blink: Used Mandrake, SuSE, Fedora, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Debian, etc.

 

Not as compatible as windows, and not as easy to use as Mac.

 

It's the only one that does everything I need, is stable and fits my price range (FREE!!)

I've never had much trouble with hardware and any programs i need run under a single GUI, admitedly it's not for everyone but it's becoming more and more practical as a desktop operating system.

Also, did i mention that it's FREE? :D
