success2be
How do I go to the beginning or end of a line of text? I've been using linux and windows for years and have been accustomed to using Home or End keys. In Mac OS, it goes to the top or bottom of the page instead. success2be
Awesome. What about jumping to the next word in the line? For windows its Ctrl-LeftArrow or Ctrl_RightArrow. I'm at work on Windows, so I can't check if those works on OS X. CheeseCake
You can use DoubleCommand to modify HOME & END keys to PC style. It is freeware. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46516-home-end-keys/#findComment-333460 Share on other sites
tomtefar
DoubleCommand does not seem to like PS/2 controllers. It stopped my compy from booting. Removed in single user mode and all OK again. lord xeon
yea, the home and end key change took me awhile to figure out, and i still use them alot. the thing that's bothering me the most is a key to open a file/folder i windows its Enter but using that in osx renames the selected item, is there a key combo to open files/folders? XanthraX
DoubleCommand does not seem to like PS/2 controllers. It stopped my compy from booting. Removed in single user mode and all OK again. Strange. I have PS/2 keyboard and mouse and use Double Command without problems. I disabled the Caps Lock Key because I hate it. Maybe it depends of the hardware configuration, or other system settings. Be sure also of your permissions to be repaired.
