Airfly
Ive got a few questions: Network Selector or (nsGUI) is this built into the iwi3945.dmg or do you have to compile your own? already built into iwi3945.dmg, and you can complie it whenever you want. just go over the codes and try it. when i usethe networkselector, i can select the right network and i can connect, but then, i cannot go on the internet... but the other computers here (all windows) can go on the internet and can ping my laptop where i got mac os x 10.4.7 installed on... somebody got some help??? what hardware do you use? 3945 or 2200? do you have a LAN(RJ45) connection? what they ping your laptop through, LAN or Wireless? can you ping them? maybe you just need to setup a IP for DNS then you can go on the internet...try. ttorok
iwi2100 rev 401changed code to stop the driver from scaning, etc until networkselector is called. Hello, I've tried to load kext manually from a desktop folder via terminal. Driver loaded but osx hangs after a sec. So no logs available. auqs10
My wireless Intel 3945/A.B/G card gave on verbose mode startup two lines (after many lines about iwi3945), stating: iwi3945: ipw_init_geos iwi3945: ipw_init_geos error The card is included into Dell 6400/E1505 Laptop (Core2Duo T7200), and I have installed the latest iwi3945.dmg. I hope will help to solve this problem. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/87/#findComment-362330 Share on other sites

jalavoui
moses, i've made some changes to nsGUI - can you check them? there's some kind of unknown bug that causes kernel panic in the power on/off i'm not shure if it's a nsgui or iwi2200.cpp bug iwi2100/3945 boot with -s option call the networkselector program choose option (1) to power the card on if you get a kernel panic post the picture so i can check it don't use other networkselecor options - the only usefull thing at this time is the power switch option nsGUI.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/87/#findComment-363416 Share on other sites
ttorok
iwi2100/3945boot with -s option call the networkselector program choose option (1) to power the card on if you get a kernel panic post the picture so i can check it After install the driver I've booted with -s option. When I try to run networkselector I get a message: Could not get ID for kernel control. 2. I've used latest version of iwi2100 from http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/. .javi
I dont know if its the Router or the iwi2200, but it locks the router at random times, after the conection is lost i cant get it back soo i have to unplug the router for a min and plug it again and its fine. it has happen 2x times already, with older iwi2200 i didnt encounter this prob. This doesnt happen when im on windows, soo im wondering if its just the router or a problem inside the kext that locks it. Dell 9300 iwi 2200 Thanks a lot for your work. =) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/36976-intel-wireless-driver/page/87/#findComment-364253 Share on other sites
