Super fast and easy update from Tahoe 26.1 RC -> 26.1 Release.  To detect the update, I turned off Beta Updates.  To enable incremental update, I disabled BluetoolFixup.kext.  I'm using VoodooHDA.kext 3.0.3 with SIP csr-active-config = <01000000> and I'm using OpenWireless itlwm for Wi-Fi, so no need to re-apply any patches.  After completing the update, I enabled Beta Updates and BluetoolFixup.kext.

EDIT: ... And my 2010 HackBookPro6,2 (which is still waiting for OCLP Tahoe post-install patches).

Spoiler

Installing NOW, Should NOT Be Any Problems ;)

Try to install or update with BCMC enabled in this case... :hyper: Or are you just left with a M4 Mac mini and M4 iMac? :graduated: Also no problems here with MacBookPro 2020 M1 👍

Dear friends, OCLP mode is not installed and there is no white wallpaper on the desktop? I couldn't update OTA. I get an error even though WhateverGreen.kext is 1.1.1d7. I attached my configuration file. Can you help me? Thanks.

It did the update, interesting even I have SIP off, it did incremental update (3.5G). There were 3 restarts, first and 3rd worked with WEG, the 2nd without WEG. I used the EFI I made for the installer USB stick, with no WEG, to boot the 2nd restart. I hope in a new version of WEG which can support this.

Use attached version 1.7.1d7 by @laobamac_yyds , worked flawless on my system for testing purposes. It's like Bro @eSaF writes above: With SMBIOS MacPro7,1 no need for WEG, as long your GPU is supported by MacOS.. If you use WEG, also use boot flag agdpmod=pikera 👍

perfect in OLD: WhateverGreen-1.7.1d7. (WhateverGreen.kext +++) by OpenCore 1.0.6 In this OLD: Radeon RX560, the monitor without the kext in question remained idle, whereas in the NEW: it appeared for macOS users

With the modified kext, the perfect monitor signal for Mac users to enter

Incremental update 26.0.1 to 26.1 on my Z390 iMac20,1 using mod Whatevergreen 1.7.1d7 (there are always violet strips in verbose mode).

After several restart, macOS Tahoe boot but stuck at  login session screen after entering user password (my disk is not encrypted). As before, I wait 20 to 30 minutes to access the desktop; the hard drive light is blinking, so there would be disk accesses in progress.

At the end, I hope this time there is not relocate items (with apps) into user shared folder. 😂

OFFTOPIC: Since it's an i7 9700K running Coffee Lake, why are you using an imac 20.1 instead of an imac 19.1 with the required patch for Tahoe?

I send you a PM.  What is the required patch for Tahoe ?

My friends, I have just returned home from school. May I ask if there will still be a problem of freezing in the KextLog:... location when OTA is performed with 1.7.1d7?

Here everything went fine with the OTA update with Radeon VII and 1.7.1d7.. There is some feedback also of other users in the postings above, which despite one seems very positive 👍

Got it, thx🤓

To all:

I think that I find why each update Tahoe move apps (ESP Mounter, Heliport, Hackintool, Plistedit Pro, Python, XCODE26...) into "Relocated Items" folder. Strangely, each update, Tahoe enable SIP to default value.  Perhaps, that's the reason.

Any ideas for solution, please.

Sorry if OFF-TOPIC.

@Matgen84

The situation of 'resetting to default values' theoretically does not occur.

Because OpenCore directly writes the csr-active-config value to NVRAM.

Perhaps you can try adding a csr-active-config under NVRAM-Delete-7C... so that OpenCore will clear and overwrite the csr-active-config value every time it boots.

Perfect online incremental upgrade, no need to disable WhateverGreen 1.7.1d7:hysterical:

I hope you and vit9696 could solve latest problem to allow dev to accept your PR

Thank you for your work!
