@Cyberdevs My windows SSD appear as Boot Disk but my Mac/OpenCore/Clover is on Samsung 9100. Thanks for that. :guitar:

Thanks for the feedback man.

I think the boor disk detection logic needs some refinement, although it seems to be working ok on my rig

Z690 - 1TB Samsung 980 Pro is the macOS/OC Boot disk. Windows is installed on Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB

The program is very nice for now.

It will be much better as it improves, thank you for your efforts. In my system, it constantly detects the windows boot disk. Although my boot disk is CT1000P5PSSD8, it continues to display the Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB disk as the boot disk.

There was no change after restarting the system and nvresetram.

@HyperX7 and @eSaF

I will look into it and see if I can fix this issue. On my test rigs it detected the boot disk correctly but I guess there must be some issues to correctly detect the boot disk on other systems.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll let you know when the issue is fixed.

This time it showed the Boot Disk correctly. I didn't make any changes.

I believe the app identifies the topmost drive in the list as the boot drive.
When rebooting, for example, on Windows or other systems, I don't know why the disk order changes... it happens with OCAT too ( When mounting EFIs ) , but the app always marks the topmost drive as the boot disk.

After a few reboots booting only and exclusively OC or resetting the nvram it fixes itself

It's just my theory it could all be wrong 😆

@Anto65

I conditioned the list to show the boot disk on the top of the list, maybe that's why it changes every time.

The app detects the disk identifiers for each disk, checks the nvram for the boot path and marks it as the boot disk.

The disk order change also happens on ESP Mounter Pro, after each reset the disk list changes.

Another example here, Samsung ( Windows ) is at the top of the list and the app identifies it as a boot disk 🤔 while the last one is actually where OC / OSX is

Maybe the app shouldn't take into account the position of those at the top ?

Darn it! for now let's focus on the Apple logo for the Boot disk, I'll get into the color coding for the external disks later.

On my rigs:

Nah, my brain doesn't tell me what to do! I tell it what to do. Or it's the other way around I'm not sure anymore :D

Something that I don't understand is why the app is working on my two rigs but it doesn't show the Apple Logo on your end! and why it doesn't detect the Boot Disk on your rig. If Samsung SSD 980 Pro 500GB is your bootable disk and it has OC in the EFI partition of that disk it should be marked as Boot Disk with Apple Logo instead of the generic internal hdd icon. :frantics:

@eSaFand @Anto65

What is the value of your config.plist under Misc->Security->ExposeSensitiveData mine is set to 7 (0x07)

I copied my EFI to a USB Disk and booted the system from the USB disk and the app detects that USB as Boot Disk but there are no other indications on my Samsung 1TB SSD which is normal but I think I need to rethink the macOS detection further.

Can you check the value of ExposeSensitiveData and try 0x07 and see if that makes any difference?
