cankiulascmnfye
Is someone familiar with Nootedred.kext? I am trying to configure my ryzentosh laptop (Lenovo E14 Gen5). I have a picture, but iGPU Acceleration doesn't work (8MB). Is there something else I have to do besides adding the kext? It uses a Ryzen 7730U (8C/16T) "Cezanne" with AMD Radeon graphics ("Barcelo"). Your Ryzen 7730U iGPU (AMD Radeon "Barcelo") is not compatible with macOS Sequoia (15.3) for hardware acceleration, even with NootedRed.kext. As far as I know, macOS does not provide driver support for AMD iGPUs. Therefore, only basic display functionality is possible, with a maximum of 8 MB VRAM. If you install macOS and manage to boot it on your hardware, you can run macOS without hardware acceleration, meaning it will operate with limited performance. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360375-pre-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/5/#findComment-2829438 Share on other sites

It's the same in Sonoma. I just wished the repo would state this more clearly. It just says: "Your system must not have a GCN 5 or rDNA AMD dGPU." So then I had to look up GCN5 and rDNA up to figure out that that the Barcelo card is GCN 5.1. I've gotta say, everything related to AMD CPUs and GPUs is really confusing and badly documented by AMD compared to Intel Ark. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360375-pre-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/5/#findComment-2829439 Share on other sites

cankiulascmnfye
@miliuco Thanks. I've checked that thread but unfortunately the iGPU is not supported by nootedred. 1 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360375-pre-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/5/#findComment-2829442 Share on other sites

AlfredoM
I recently had a problem when updating from Sequoia 15.2 to 15.3 Beta1, where I had to re-run the OCLP patch 2.2.0 after every restart, so the patches were not saved. Now I successfully updated from 15.2 to 15.3 Beta2 and the OCLP patch remains even after several restarts. Bluetooth, WiFi and Kepler graphics also work perfectly on my old iMac late 2013 (27 inch). On the MacBook Pro 2019 16 inch it still works natively, i.e. without any patches. 5 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360375-pre-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/5/#findComment-2829451 Share on other sites

If it is not working, go in already installed macOS, start de installation there and chose the drive you want to install in. bestal
@StefanalmareThank you for your answer. It did not install on the first and second try. It downloaded on the third time too. So it installs randomly? It does not install from USB. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/360375-pre-release-macos-sequoia-153/page/5/#findComment-2829500 Share on other sites
