Thanks. EDIT: I don't know if this is exactly correct but I got Sequoia to boot without disabling AMFIPass.kext by setting the maxkernel value for that kext to 23.9.9. Yeah I did the same and it's working on both. I get a k.p. on shutdown though but that could be as much my odd EFI - I have few clues but a lot of persistance. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359530-pre-release-macos-sequoia/page/3/#findComment-2820926 Share on other sites

dreamwhite
Good morning there. I haven't yet installed macOS Sequoia but wanted to analyze the installer files. The first thing I noticed is the PlatformSupport.plist, which has been already shared in this thread, as well as confirming the support of iGPU from KBL to ICL. One thing I haven't yet managed to analyze is the SharedSupport.dmg. Inside SharedSupport.dmg/com_apple_MobileAsset_MacSoftwareUpdate there's a e2de87f20576b2bdc021d36f74a2f836cf42afe576178388dfd0cde875f4f979.aea Apple Encrypted Archive. Has anyone managed to extract it? 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359530-pre-release-macos-sequoia/page/3/#findComment-2820939 Share on other sites

Have a look in Feedback Assistant there is a note detailing exactly how to turn it off. It takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes for it to revert to normal. Good luck. PS - Feedback Assistant is a good place to look for changes or Bug Fixes whenever a new version or update comes available. I wonder if it was still encrypting when I tried to turn it off, it was being reported as on but the progress bar underneath was just cycling. turko35408
@Shaneee Hi. All kernel patches are ok. The BIOS settings have been reviewed, but this is the case. The same EFI opens Sonoma without problems. config.plist Edited June 11, 2024 by turko35408 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/359530-pre-release-macos-sequoia/page/3/#findComment-2820957 Share on other sites

Insure your running the latest OC and kext versions (won't hurt, that's what I did). Also try disabling RestrictEvents.kext, I am running without it despite the fact it is probably needed by Sonoma. Reboot, clean NVRAM and see if you can make progress. Good luck I've tried them all, but it doesn't work.
