Again Same Build as the RCĀ šŸ™ƒĀ

Ā

in 99,99% of cases, the final release will always be the same build as the RC. Sometimes we have RC1, RC2... but at the end, the final release is the same as the last RC.

Unattended upgrade was flawless on my HackBookPro6,2. Ā When I returned to my laptop and logged in, OCLP prompted me to re-install post-install patches.

About my Hack: Monterey 12.6.2 on Dell Latitude E6410 (Intel Arrandale Gen 1 CPU)

I'am still working with a perfectly running Montery 12.4 and OpenCore 0.7.6.

Since yesterday, the Apple menu tells me to upgrade to Monterey 12.6.2.

I am a bit afraid of updating a running system ("never change..., you know). Can someone tell me, if Monterey 12.6.2 runs fine with OpenCore 0.7.6 or if I have to do a update?

Apple has released macOS 12.6.2 update

Does anyone know where I can find the link to download the 1.54GB version? on my machine, I have 12.6.1 but my system wants to download the whole OS... 12.48GB to update to 12.6.2 which is insane.

You cannot download the 1.54GB as a stand alone version. It can only be offered to you if your machine meets the correct criteria and conditions, if it doesn't then only the full 12.48GB will be available to you I'm afraid.

affirmative... thanks for the clarification.

One of the conditions is the VMM flag. In the config.plist, set the "VMM Flag" to ON inĀ Root::Kernel::Emulate::Cpuid1Data.Ā This effectively enables macOS Delta updates. Should work on any machine. See here.
