try this...

 

I have added a modified DSDT for your motherboard. Try and let me know

 

I have removed the resources folder...You can add it 

 

Others please don't use this EFI..this is only for Huananzhi X79 8D

I did some tests with BIG Sur and Catalina, but still, I have been having crashes in the installation and restart of the system

 

 

taking a look at other posts on the internet, I found a CLOVER EFI that allowed me to install BIG SUR, but I couldn't install Monterey, because I get an error, asking to update the firmware and I can't get out of this screen.

in this clover EFI, I don't need to use CPUS=1 because it already has the DSDT for my processor, I just needed to put the Fake ID of my VGA

Audio is not working with this Clover EFI

But I would like to use OpenCore, to install Monterey
My question is..
I'll leave below the Clover EFI I used, it would be possible, then, to use the DSDTs files of this EFI, and convert to your OpenCore EFI

You need to update the SMBIOS ..Then it will work...

This means you have to define ExtendedFirmwareFeatures in Smbios section of config.plist.

Clover must be latest not 5131 as I see.

Thanks for the info, I'll do some new tests with Clover.

 

at this moment, I'm still trying with opencore, I activated sysreport, to see the errors later here, I still can't load the installation, I'll leave my sysreport below, in case anyone has any tips, what the error might be

I have seen this before....Last time I tried very hard to get dual CPU in OpenCore but it never works...We wasted more than a month on this but it never worked with Open Core

Hello again,Robert.I have used your efi and your advices to install Big Sur first and then upgraded to Monterey.All went smooth till I tried to sign in into my account at iCloud. The answer is always an error.

I have tried with differents Keys and uuid with no success.

 

Any idea??

Have a working BigSur system, tried the EFI here and the OC boot menu does not show?

Tried many things BigSur works but not Monterey, gets stuck at the apple icon

Make the signature with details of your hardware.

May be you have some hardware incompatible with Monterey.

Hello guys! I need help getting the Monterey installer to work from USB. None of the provided EFI on this posts worked.

 

This is my hardware:

  • CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2620 v2.

  • GPU: Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 6600.

  • RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) 1066 Mhz ECC DDR3.

  • Motherboard: Essenc/Atermiter X79G v1.3 (chinese board from Aliexpress). Exactly this one ---> https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/Hae2ae63652b84980aca6b7cc21c2100bm.jpg

  • BIOS revision: X79G00E - Aptio Setup Utility Version 2.15.1236.

  • NVME: ADATA Falcon 256GB - Currently running Catalina with Clover.

  • SSD: Apacer AS340 240GB - Where I plan to install Monterey (then move it to the NVME).

 

Attached is the current OpenCore EFI config I'm trying. It includes logs. Since i'm using OC debug version to find what the problem is.

I tried both using usb inject all, and mapping usb from windows. You will see the kexts there, and only activated the ones for the mapped usb.

I'm lost. I feel I might not be understanding/knowing something that has to be set...so I cannot diagnose what the problem is.

Catalina is useless with this GPU so I'm desperate.

A couple extra questions:

Might this be some BIOS settings I may be missing to set properly?

You mention Ventura. Doesn't Ventura require AVX2 for a lot of things including the amd gpu driver (since it is also compiled expecting that)? I read it is not possible to run Ventura with gpu acceleration on IvyBridge for that particular reason. Some guy found a way of running the OS but no luck getting the amd driver to work. That is why I chose Monterey.
