@nmano This guide work for x79 and Sandy Bridge-E (i73930K)? How I can find the Cpuid1Dat and FakeCPUID for SandyBridge-E?

I would like to try your tutorial to see if I can get BS to run on x79 and Sandy Bridge-E. I still couldn't do it with Clover and OC.

Deleting UNC0 from my DSDT helped me on my x79 with Sandy Bridge-E

Sandy Bridge -E, Ivy Bridge -E are natively supported so you don't 'have to spoof any cpuid, you only need some tunes for reserved memory in order to get your graphics working if you are gonna use IGPU

How do I do that? DSDT is not placed in OpenCore.

I tested the Dortania, Sanity Check tutorials, and several other variations, but I was unable to start BigSur.
The only thing that made Power Management work in Catalina correctly was to put the following:

Can you tell me if I have to change these values to work with BigSur?

I check 11.0.1 Kernel

Beta 11.0 & 11.0.1 XCPM are same.

You have something wrong. Too few scores in the benchmark. I have with one processor 82х - Single-Core and 81xx - Multi-Core.

Try Geekbench 5.1.0 or Latest

I have version 5.2.3 .. Now did the test again.

I'm using emulation + AppleXcpmExtraMsrs in OpenCore and PMDrv.kext.

I don't use the turbo boost unlock!

His is right. 2 processors do not double performance. This would be the ideal scenario, but it is not what happens in practice.

No. He also has few points in the single core.

Hi @nmano thank you for this. Would you mind confirming the objective of this patch please? Is this mandatory for the latest Big Sur update?

Thanks a lot

If you were able to install OS X from a flash drive , then you don't need this patch for nothing.

Thanks for the response. I actually was not able to install Big Sur from a flash drive but i took another path and installed it through a restore disk which ultimately gave me the same result. I have now a running Big Sur so happy with it. Cheers.
