An update:

I've updated to Clover 5117, everything working fine.

I've updated a few files for my WiFi/Bluetooth based on Opencore recommendations (oddly enough). These are the kexts I now use which are working great:

AirportBrcmFixup.kext

BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext
BrcmFirmwareData.kext
BrcmPatchRAM3.kext

I replaced BrcmPatchRAM2.kext with BrcmPatchRAM3.kext; I deleted FakePCIID and replaced it with BrcmBluetoothInjector.kext

Hope this helps someone.

EDIT EDIT Hi, I have some strange thing. I have a combo pci + apple BCM94360CS and firewire pci. I've tested every pcie slot and i've started with the Wifi/bt board. After one hour of using after new OC install, my bluetooth is dropping with all my BT devices, I cant reconnect my magic mouse and my BT apple keyboard. When i try it, its freezing, and I have to force quit preference/bluetoth and restart.
I just need buetooth dongle. and remove this pci board and wifi. Do you know bt dongle is working for you? I could really help me.

Hi all,

With the help of eSaF for sending me to this thread and helping me elsewhere I managed to get everything up and running nicely.  (Thank You!)

I've had to return my graphics card for repairs / replacement as it simply stopped working one day and wouldn't even show the bios (powered on a RGB / fans worked but that was it)  anyway... that's being sorted and I'd like to run Mac OS with the integrated graphics as I am on windows if I can?

Is there anything specific I need to do in order to get that to work?

I'm facing a couple of issues..

My OS won't boot currently the loading bar gets to about a two thirds then the pc restarts.

I've recreated the USB installer with the Config from page one with my serial etc added, I'm using the modded CFG bios config but even running the USB installer has the same issue, restarting the pc at about three thirds in.

I have removed the boot argument agdpmod=pikera, I'm unsure if that's required but it makes no difference anyway at this stage

Any other help much appreciated (I'll continue to read through the thread in the mean time, the search function here doesn't seem to work unfortunately)

edit*

I've reset the bios cmos and reloaded the profile since the 5700XT was removed.

Before I got the WiFi/Bluetooth PCI on my machien I was using an ASUS BT400 and it worked perfectly. No AirDrop or Continuity which is why I got the PCI card.

Hey In the forum we do not quote here, someone mentioned an MSI RX 5700 XT issue above 10.15.3. maybe the same issue applies on Audiogods guide and OC, does anyone tried installing with an MSI 5700 XT/non XT?
Because I am still stuck at the same point in time while I put the system back down to its bare minimum(only one RAM, no cables besides mandatories and only one Drive). I am close to giving up on the guide, which I have not expected to happen....

Hello Team,

Can anybody tell me please, what I missed up with the 'serials'? I try to switch from clover to opecore and entered all my Serial Number/ SmUUID/ MLB/ ROM exact the same as in clover (using screenshots in start of topic of course). But after booting with the opencore my iLok seen my pc with the same name and without activating licenses for my audio soft. I mean have the same machine with no license and all other license (like Sylenth1) see my PC as wrong machine too. I can't use all my software and need to switch back to clover.

Thanks

Hey folks,

does anybody have some Bluetooth issues like me? Because in some cases when I'm doing my stuff or right after logging in to my computer my Bluetooth connection drops immediately. I have to restart the computer to get Bluetooth working again. I tested the BroadcomFix.zip from the very first page and also this suggestion from AudioGod, both didn't help.

I'm using a BCM943602CS card. Except for this situation, this card works like a charm.

I've reset the bios cmos and reloaded the profile since the 5700XT was removed.

Got it sorted :) fingers crossed I get my 5700 back soon

I hope someone might be able to help me fix a problem:

I’ve built a Hackintosh - i5 7700K, Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR4-3200 RAM, Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WIFI, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8G G5, 8GB GDDR5 lite retail (11265-05-20G), LG 27UL550-W, 27" 4K

Clover Z390 Pro Polaris EFI 010620.zip - RX500 Polaris Series (RX590, 580, 570 etc) DSDT EFI.

I’ve used the system definition iMacPro1,1 / iMac Pro (2017) because I had under iMac19,1 no Hardware Decoder/Encoder and Video Processing  for H264 and HEVC Available.

In combination with a 4k or 3840x2160, in MacOS I have chosen the option it looks like 2560 * 1440.

Everything has been working flawless so far.

However since I have changed the system definition some time ago to iMacPro1,1 because of Hardware Decoder/Encoder issues. – I’ve got a problem after booting it.

The login screen always boots with a resolution of FHD 1920 * 1080 (visually appears to be FHD, and it’s not pixelated at all). But if I continue to log in, the resoultion automatically changes to 2560 * 1440. While changing the usual flickering screen can be seen as well.

I’ve already tried to change to the default resolution of 2560 * 1440 by using the root user, which unfortunalte did not help.

Anyone got an idea what could be causing the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Same here with the same wifi card. BT broke down after a while, but I thought it was because of my pciboard from China which had arrived with bad antenna cable and that I had to solder new cable. What happens when you try to open the bluetooth tab in prefrences to reconnect your devices? Cause for me I have to force quit the panel preference.

I'm going back to clover. I had freezing and video on opencore it 's why.

If i m not mistaken this can be traced back to the Ui scale component of both Clover and OpenCore. I have the opposite happen on my setup, booter starts in 4K then drop back to 2K when I get to the second stage of video loading. That is what I have chosen in macOS (4K is too tiny!)

This is really not a problem at all, just a cosmetic fluke. Unfortunately UI Scale for me would need to be 1.5 but Clover does not allow that. Not sure about OpenCore.

Thanks in advance.

This is outside the boot loader. You can set OC and Clover's resolutions in their config files. This only affects the initial menu selection in the loader and the resolution macOS will use for it's own loading screen (the apple logo with progress bar or verbose if set). Once macOS loads, it will then reload into the graphical log in screen. This is where the bug is. It can most likely be traced to your display. If you can, try another one (not made by LG).

I have the 850 series and it does the same thing.

It does work correctly 1:1000. So there is an actual bug somewhere. Could be the display's EDID. Could be the Framebuffer. But it has nothing to do with any setting in OC or Clover.

I still have this problem with iLok even when I just update to Audiogods latest EFIs. I think it's just iLok messing up since no other software behaves like that (since Audiogod fixed my sloppy plist.config ^^).

What I do is deactivaing all plugins before I update or make any changes on the EFI and activate again when it's done. It's an annoying extra step but it takes only a few seconds and saves a lot of trouble.

Oh, thanks for your answer! Now I can some calm with it :) And you’re right, before any updates and changes now I prefer to deactivate iLok. Btw Ableton works well after move from clover to OC but Bitwig Studio lost license. Also I have notice issue from AppleID and now I have two iMacs with the same names (one with clover and second with OC).

I had the same issues. Did you check the serial if it’s already taken before?

I Use this page to test https://checkcoverage.apple.com/us/en/ and have an error message about my serial like this "We’re sorry, but this serial number isn’t valid. Please check your information and try again." That's good sign, right?

Maybe I have issue with SMBIOS when generating it in first time with Clover, idk how to check it.

Any tips please?

I’m new in opencore.

After removing ‘AirportBrcmFixup’ kext, my boot stay on the apple logo screen and nothing. What I do wrong, tell me please?

Did you remove the kext from the config.plist as well as the kext folder?

if you didn’t then that’s why it’s not booting bud.

Nope, that’s my mistake looks like. I’m still so dummy with OpenCore. Can you please give me a link to guide, how can i do this properly.

In the config.plist goto kernel, add and look for the kext you wanna remove and either set it to disabled or delete it all together. Save exit and restart. Done..
