@Tiem I was just trying to get to the bottom of he’s problem and sometimes chucking kexts that have a purpose does make sense, yes your right it is a native card but to find out what’s going on with he’s system I need to try different steps and that was one of them So while I understand totally what you mean you should also realise that I am just taking steps to try and help pinpoint what’s going on so I can find a better fix for him. :)

@WizeMan

Hmm, there's something definitely up with the EFI. I was just copying over files to my NAS via WIFI. Lost connection on my keyboard and my mouse (G903 on a dongle) got all jittery. No such issues in Clover.

EDIT: Lost the Apple Watch unlock option (came back in a few minutes). Just out of curiosity, do you have anything else connected that's wireless (BT, Dongle, etc.)?

Ok after some reading, I'm gonna say you're card is likely gone. I can't speak for the proper Fenvi's but the knock-off by MQUPIN isn't that great. I still have time to return it so I'm going to likely send it back to Amazon and grab something else.

@eSaF I am returning my knock off T919 but ordered a real one. After what you said, I don't think it'll be any better really. Can you give me more details of what you got exactly? Having crappy wireless is not something I want. I find the Fenvi to be pretty unreliable. Sometimes it connects at post, not others. Pretty annoying when you're trying to enter your BIOS.

Hiya,

Sorry guys I went to bed then work. I am using the EFI for 12d without any relating kexts, it seems to be working better, I think. However this is still what system info reports...

Hey all,

I originally posted this in this thread ->

But there seems to be a bit more lively over here, so I'll copy my post here.

Install went more or less without a hickup, and everything seemed to be working perfectly. However, I'm having these weird small lags where the application I'm in will just stop responding and/or keyboard input stops. The dreaded spinning rainbow wheel shows up now and then. Every UI transition is buttery smooth, however, so I dont think it is related to the GPU? It seems to be completely random. There is no CPU spike going on (I've got Activity monitor up at all times monitoring the state of things) Also, some programs seem to open very random, i.e activity monitor takes a good 7-8 seconds with the spinning wheel.

This is my first hackintosh, so I'm kind of at a loss at how I should even start looking for what's wrong..

My setup:

9900k

Aorus Master

Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 8GB

64 gb memory

1080ti disabled by properties

firmware F11c

2x 1TB 970 Evo Plus (one for windows and one for Catalina)

fenvi T919 (BCM94360CD)

Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide that'll help in troubleshooting..

You sent me two additional iGPU builds but mouse and keyboard are still unresponsive in the catalina installer.

Tried the last one and it also didn't work. Did you mean to delete it?

@vyu01773 Yes I Made a mistake and pulled it, here try again. sorry.

like the last message said I've generated info for you so just drop the EFI folder in and let me know how it goes.

Is your ram stable?  Have you ran it through various stability tests?  Karhu's Ram Test, HCI Mem Test, or GSAT, etc?

Tried with a new catalina copy, reinstalled bios and used your profile and without.

Sadly same result.

this is a much older UHD630 EFI But still should work.

try this one.

Aorus Pro Z390 EFI - Intel UHD630.zip

if that doesn’t work for you then I really don’t know as most of them config work for most people and the last one I just posted doesn’t use a dsdt or anything like that.

Sadly it also didn't work for me :(

I think I'll order a cheap RX 560 and use that with another profile.

EDIT: it didn't even boot to the installer with it. Forgot to mention that.

I think you have a deeper problem personally as the last EFI should of worked 100% as it’s so basic

I have no problems in windows. I just ran "rember" for macos for an hour and it didn't show any errors.

I just did a geebench test and ended up with this

That seems a "tad" low compared to the results in the first post, no?

Edit -> Luxmark:

Edit2 -> OpenCL:

->

Edit3: Looks like there's a big difference between geekbench 4 and 5. My bad.

@Tiem This my wifi/bluetooth kit a bit pricey but works oob with strong signal even though the router and p/c is separated by a wall (in different rooms).

I bought an extra one for my next build, you can get the Card and PCI-e adapter on e-bay'. I forgot to include the antennas in the pics but you get the idea.

The 2nd pic was included to show the other side of the wifi/bluetooth module.

Thanks man. Unfortunately your card is N only (no AC). I actually swapped my antennas and the Fenvi is working AMAZING since. It recognizes the keyboard at post so I may just keep it and upgrade down the line.

For posterity, the BCM94360CD supports AC:

  • Broadcom BCM94360CD supports 802.11ac MIMO 3x3 (max speed is 1.3Gbps at 5GHz), and Bluetooth 4.0. This is used in iMac (2013) and Pro (2013).
  • Broadcom BCM94331CD supports 802.11n MIMO 3x3 (max speed is 450Mbps at 5GHz), and Bluetooth 4.0. This is used in iMac (2012).

Try one of the apps I mentioned in Windows overnight to rule ram out of the equation.

Glad you got sorted, maybe I need to take another look at my T919 with your antennas fix some other time. Thanks for the update

That's on me. The Fenvi has 4 antenna. I was using 2 from the card and the remaining 2 I had plugged in my antenna for my MB. Apparently Gigabyte doesn't provide a better antenna than some cheap Chinese knock-off lol.

But I gotta say with the proper antenna its working flawless.

Thanks for the pics. I still may get a real BCM card. Ali has them quite cheap. $45. Just gonna take 2 months to get here :whistle:

Should have tried this earlier. Without the patched ACPI the mouse works...

EDIT: is it possible that I have a different revision that requires different patches or sth?
