AudioGod's Aorus Z390 Pro Patched DSDT Mini Guide and Discussion

im the one who wanted to active hs14 for aorus pro wifi if you can remember me 

anyway i got it enable by using injectall usb kext 

everything works well my Bluetooth speaker works well thank you .

know i have 2 issues 

1st one i boot my hackintosh with internal gpu and using this flag nv_disable=1 to disable my rtx 2070 

the problem is the rtx 2070 fans not spinning at all while using macos and if i put my hand on its palt it is hotter than normal 

i dont know how to make the fans working while using macos 

 

2nd problem 

you advice me to patch my monitor edid because i told you when my macos wake the screen became green 

i patched it using the link you provide me yesterday and i can confirm it is patched as should be 

but now my problem become :

when i put the macos to sleep 

my ram rgb still lighting 

and if i press any key to wake the pc the monitor become black with a mouse arrow for 30 seconds i can move it and after that the arrow gone and the macos freezes .

my ram corsair vengeance pro rgb 3000mhz

you can not use injectall usb kext with my EFI as it doesn’t work that way. The dsdt and ssdt make usb work so what you have done is double patched the usb and probably the cause of your new problem.

somebody posted how to enable HS14 via clover for you the other day, try it that way. It’s somewhere posted on here hiding.

Loaded it on my Testing USB Stick and booted off it. Will let you know in a couple or more hours, because the BT thing is very random from what I experience :\ Thank you!

 

(P.S. I have the suspicion that unchecking KernelPM may have something to do with the Bluetooth Issues. I haven't unchecked it now. Will test like this for 3-4 hours then uncheck it and test again. I am using the Unlock CFG profile -> Loaded the Profile on the first post -> Made the changes you recommended with the first ocQuirks EFI -> Saved on a second profile and this is the one I am currently using whenever I clear the NVRAM)

The New EFI is not for your Bluetooth issue but more a update test because of all the new kexts In there. I’m gonna update the thread again with this EFI as long as you tell me it’s good to go.

are you using the one I sent you as is and no changes other then your info?

Oc quirks is the latest version and very stable so use it.

by the way kernalPM won’t have anything to do with it, you need it checked if you don’t have MSR unlocked and unchecked if you do. Having it checked will just make clover work like it had a locked MSR again.

 

@WizeMan Thinking about your Bluetooth problem. can you try disabling above 4g in the bios as well and see if it helps?

Hi @AudioGod my Bluetooth is working fine, but when I wake up from sleep I need to replug-it to get connection. Any clue about that?

Also, for all the other stuff I need to purchase a wifi combo really? or maybe in a future the community could support the 390 Aorus pro wifi adapter?

I am running your new EFI for about an hour (only changed my serial number etc, left KernelPM checked as it was), seems to be working great, heavy Xcode work with simulation as  well as Android studio work with simulation, Photoshop, Apple Music Playing. No issues whatsoever.

the WiFi on the pro is not supported and forcing it work will never work properly and your always run into problems. This is why I’m so firm about using a fully supported card only.

It is very weird, right after I wrote  my previous answer I disabled KernelPM and reboot. Bluetooth started acting weird again and after 5 minutes devices disconnected. I will try disabling above 4g and let you know.

I Have a funny feeling it was clover causing your issues, it updated it super fast cos an error so maybe it’s connected.

uncheck kernel pm if your MSR un unlocked please brother

So I disabled Above 4G and kept KernelPM unchecked. Issue remains. Once I boot on MacOS after 2 mins bluetooth devices disconnected.

 

I guess there is no other choice but to keep it checked. Other than this issue that appears to be happening only to me the EFI is  rock solid, mate!

did you reset the bios so your MSR is locked again? if you didn't can you do so and let me know if it remains stable?

is your watch working again?

I will reset the BIOS and follow the BIOS guide on the First Post (I think you have merged the BIOS settings from the initial guide together with the ocQuirks EFI, or do I need to check both posts?

 

Regarding the Apple Watch, the checkbox is not being enabled. Once I settle with the tests we've been performing I will try to re-pair it and let you know of the results.

@AudioGod I reset BIOS settings, entered them manually. Kept KernelPM checked. So far so good with Bluetooth.

so if it is CFG unlocked effecting your combo card that’s great cos it’s a nothing fix for you but also very strange that something like that would effect the combo cards bios and make it work flaky.

interesting though, here’s hoping it stays solid for you. 

 

tbh the whole reason I started using the MSR unlocked was to combat memory allocation errors at startup but now that’s fixed via the new drivers having your MSR unlocked is not really needed. It’s still how a real Mac is though. Let’s see if there’s anybody else out there it’s happening to or if it’s exclusive to you and your combo card.

ive nearly rebooted my system a few times now just in an attempt to get my watch to unlock the hack....lol

i have the same level of want as the people that want Netflix and amazon to work, the only difference is in the real world I would use the unlock feature

Then I have good news for you I've just fixed the Unlock with watch. You need to go to the Watch app -> Un-Pair the Watch. Then Pair it again.

 

Unlock apps (e.g. view passwords on Safari) and unlock the lock screen works. I'm preparing a video for proof as we speak

unlock apps has always worked for me, everything works apart from unlock lock screen.

when you repaired the watch did you load back in your saved backup or go fresh?

if you want to help me out big time then there’s something you could do for me but it’s a bit of a big ask so it’s ok to not want to do it.

usually Larabee would do this for me but he’s not about at the moment so here’s what I’m in need of.

 

theres a new bios revision for your board bios F12d and I need somebody to install it and then using my EFI remove the dsdt all together and boot into macOS and then do an extract and send it to me and I can then get new DSDTs made up for you and everybody else for the new bios revision.

ive done it on my Z390 Master and a few others have tested it and we are all extremely happy with the results.

 

if one day this week your feeling brave and up for it then let me know and il send you everything you need via a PM to get it done.

@WizeMan I’m pairing my watch back up now, did you do anything else like have restart the hack or retick the watch unlock option? 
I wanna make sure I do exactly what you did...lol

Yes of course you can but i will get the dsdt done in a few hours so you won’t really need to revert back just do it one day when your not in need of the hack.
