Now you can start the instalation without problem (I guess).

How install

UEFI Setup Configuration and Installation

UEFI configuration

- Shutdown and insert the flash.
- Power on with DEL pressed to enter BIOS setup.
- Change value: Periphelrals - Initial Display to IGP
- Change value: Periphelrals - USB Configuration - XHCI Hand-off to ENABLE
- Change value: Chipset - VT-d to DISABLE
- Change value: Chipset - Internal Graphics to ENABLE
- Change value: Chipset - DVMT Pre-Allocated to 128M

- Save & Exit Setup

- Now, hold the F12

- In the list, select your flash drive.

- It will show twice. One with UEFI prefix and another without.

- Select with UEFI prefix. Ie.: "UEFI: Sandisk Cruzer"

The installer will start.

Format destination disk

Format the disk with GUID partition mapping and name it "HD".

- Select Disk Utility in the list, then press Continue.
- Click in View, then "Show All Devices".
- Select the destination Disk, then Erase.
- Name: HD, Format: APFS and Scheme: GUID Partition Map

Close Disk Utility.

Select "Install macOS", then Continue.
Follow instructions in screen.

After install

After first part install the system will reboot.

The second part of the installation will begin. This will take 16 minutes.

Post installation

Install bootloader

When the second part of install finish, the system will reboot again.

After performing the user initial setup and go to the desktop, you need to install Clover on internal disk.

Open the Clover installer inside flash drive that you copied before.

Use same options above but choose the system partition this time.

Now you need to replace the EFI folder inside your destination disk EFI parittion, with EFI folder inside flash card EFI partition.

If the flash drive EFI partition of your destination disk or flash drive is unmounted:

Mount with terminal "sudo diskutil mount /dev/rdiskXs1". To know what X is, use "diskutil list", most likely is 0 for destination disk and 1 for flash drive.

Then, eject the flash drive.

Last step

Move all Kexts from EFI partition to /Library/Extensions, with those commands in Terminal:

sudo cp -R /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14/* /Library/Extensions/
sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Extensions
sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions
sudo kextcache -i /

Restart the system.

It's done!

Updates

System update 10.14.6

- Download and open latest CloverConfigurator

- Open Mount EFI and click in Mount Partition in EFI Partitions list

- Click in Open Partition that appears

- Go to EFI -> CLOVER

- Backup config.plist and ACPI folder to desktop

- Go back and delete CLOVER folder

(If you restart now you can't boot in macOS - DON'T RESTART)

- Download latest Clover and install (link and config above)

- Replace config.plist and ACPI folder from your desktop

- Update Lilu.kext, AppleALC.kext, WhateverGreen.kext, HWSensors kexts (FakeSMC, ACPIMonitor, IntelCPUMonitor, ITEIT87x) in /Library/Extensions/

- Run:

sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Extensions
sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions
sudo kextcache -i /

- Install macOS Update 10.14.6 and restart

Followed this guide to a T and installed Mojave successfully. Great work!

I do seem to experience major artefacts/glitches in the window server though. Started occurring after switching from IntelGraphicsFixup to the new WhateverGreen. Any ideas?

I'm sorry. Notifications were turned off ...

In addition to installing the Kexts, did you do the procedure below?

Displayport not working for me (monitor looses signal when driver is loaded), HDMI fine (even 4K@60Hz on 2.0 port).

I'm using iMac18,1 model, maybe need change that to enable DP port of the motherboard.

I don't have the DP cable. Try and tell me if works.

I have the same motherboard. So, this is what I did to make Audio Work:

In config.plist, Devices -> Audio -> Inject = 7

Reboot, and you will have audio over HDMI. Didn't test the actual audio ports.

Tried many different ones (MacPro6,1 and various iMacs) with no luck. I will just reroute the cables and use HDMI.
Now I have an annoying problem with external USB drives being recognized as internal ones (and that forces me to set internal disks as visible on desktop in Finder).
I didn't do a clean install but upgraded from High Sierra (where everything was working fine, DP included), guess my configs must be a bit messed up.:(

I bought a DP cable and I also have problems. It seems that the cable is infinitely reconnecting. I'll see about this later.

About the external driver appear as internal i have the same issue, I think the system think the USBs are internal. Look this:

Actually I don't use HDMI audio. I'm testing audio_CloverALC right now. The audio output works, but input not work because of layout-id = 2 that I'm using in place of layout-id 1 that Mojave drop it.

@NeedForSpeed73 Fixed it!

Followed this guide: Intel FB-Patcher v1.5.0

- Add USBInjextAll.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other

- Add XHCI-300-series-injector.kext to /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other

- Add Port Limit Patch (already patched in my guide)

- Restart

- Open Intel FB-Patcher

- Go to General > USB

- Insert and remove a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 on each port

- All ports used becames Green

- Define alls connectors as USB3, except that used by the Bluetooth on Wifi Card must be Internal

- Select and delete others ports (not green)

- Click in Export

- Move the USBPorts.kext to /Library/Extensions

- Fix permissions and cache

- Remove USBInjectAll.kext, XHCI-300-series-injector.kext and Port Limit from Kernel and Kext Patches - KextsToPatch in config.plist

- Restart

In my case that my PC is on the bench and I don't have external ports, I have: HS03, HS04, HS05, HS06, HS07, HS08, HS10 (Internal Bluetooth), SS03, SS04, SS05, SS06, SS07, SS08.

Although I followed the procedure to the letter, I had a problem. After reopening the Intel FB-Patcher to verify, only until port 0x15 was appearing with USBPorts.kext that was generated. I needed to open the Kext Info.plist file with Xcode.app and change the port-count tag from <15000000> to <18000000>. 0x18 was the highest port I identified (SS08). Maybe it's an Intel FP-Patcher bug. After that, all the doors recognized normally.

Thanks Eduardo, I followed the your guide and at a certain point, I guess before the "cleanup" of USBInjectAll and XHCI-300 everything was working. THEN, I MESSED IT ALL UP: now no USB3 port work at all with 3.0 devices (2.0 are fine).
How can I revert back and start over? I tried to re-run the USB Mohave installer, but with no luck.

Now you need to replace the config.plist inside your destination disk EFI parittion with config.plist inside flash card EFI partition.

The flash drive EFI partition is unmounted. Mount with terminal "sudo diskutil mount /dev/rdiskXs1". To know what X is, use "diskutil list", most likely is 1.

Last step

Copy all Kexts from flash drive to /Library/Extensions, with those commands in Terminal:

sudo cp -R /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14/* /Library/Extensions/
sudo chmod -Rf 755 /Library/Extensions
sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /Library/Extensions
sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
sudo kextcache -system-caches

Restart the system.

It's done!

And last but not least

Thanks Eduardo, I followed the your guide and at a certain point, I guess before the "cleanup" of USBInjectAll and XHCI-300 everything was working. THEN, I MESSED IT ALL UP: now no USB3 port work at all with 3.0 devices (2.0 are fine).
How can I revert back and start over? I tried to re-run the USB Mohave installer, but with no luck.

If you followed exactly my instructions and put the genereated USBPorts.kext inside /Library/Extensions, you probably don't fixed the permissions...

Run this in Terminal:

sudo chmod -R 755 /Library/Extensions
sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Extensions
sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
sudo kextcache -system-caches

If don't work, send me the USBPorts.kext and config.plist (remove your Serial, MLB, etc)

I have the same motherboard. So, this is what I did to make Audio Work:

In config.plist, Devices -> Audio -> Inject = 7

Reboot, and you will have audio over HDMI. Didn't test the actual audio ports.

Credits to Hackintosher forum.

Actually I don't use HDMI audio. I'm testing audio_CloverALC right now. The audio output works, but input not work because of layout-id = 2 that I'm using in place of layout-id 1 that Mojave drop it.

@khamsakamal48 Using AppleALC with Lilu I was able to make the onboard audio and HDMI work perfectly. Even with the microphone. The layout-id = 7 worked that a beauty.

Guide updated.

Mess is growing: I re-run the Mojave installer and now I have problems with graphics (stutters and very long boot time due to IGPU retrying many times to do something). I attach pics of the USB situation and config.plist. But don't struggle too much on it: next week I will change some hardware on this machine (new discrete videocard) so I guess I'll do a clean install of both Windows and OSX; this one has been upgraded at least two times (since Sierra or maybe even ElCap) and I guess it's full of garbage.

Thanks for your time.

Hi @Luan Eduardo

please find my clover folder attached – I set up everything to use as little patching as possible.

DP and secondary eth work (needs modded FakePCIID_Intel_GbX.kext + SmallTreeIntel82576.kext) – running in dual-4k@60hz over here.

Also added ig-platform-id through ssdt-2 and some cosmetics (built-ins, device names etc).

Also all USB ports, including the front USB3.0 ones, work as expected.

Credits to @MaLd0n for the initial patched dsdt-version.

My system only boot with F1, tried F2, F3, F4, F5 and the new F10, and only the F1 works.

Tried all the three MemoryFix of Clover, tried with only one Ram module too...

Tried serveral UEFI options. IGFX and Discrete Card, CSM on and off, Secure Boot on and off, with everything don't work...

If boot with verbose, I stop in this:

If don't use verbose the system reboots in loop.

Hi @Luan Eduardo

please find my clover folder attached

It works.No second NIC

my setup is

i5-8600, 960evo, 32gb, F10

On DP I am experiencing some random flickers and video artefacts and the display "reboots" often (goes off and comes back up rapidly).

HDMI appears to be solid atm will test more.

edit:

Changing the DP cable fixed all the problems. Oddly enough the cable works with no problem on High Sierra.

Hi @Luan Eduardo (I'm BR too hehe). Thanks for your post. It helped me a lot.

I hope I can help you too. I used some configs from my High Sierra setup in the mojave one and I managed to make DP and its audio interface work. I didn't tested the 2nd eth interface since I use only wifi.

I have the exactly same build you have (i8700, z370n wifi, bcm BCM94352Z). I'ts very similar to yours except for some arbitrary device properties and some kexttopatch.

I hope it helps you https://www.dropbox.com/s/v4ao0vqdzvk078m/EFI.zip?dl=0

@TheMaxx32000 Can you pass me your EFI configuration?

I bought 32GB and started having problems on memtest86. Only solved with F10 version, but with it I can not start macOS, I'm using Windows in the meantime...

@registracii It probably has something to do with Framebuffer.

and I want to grab the integrated graphics(uhd630)

      So, I downloaded whatevergreen.kext and dragged efi>oc>kext.

and open the open core configurator, added kennel tap.

but, I saw the black screen!!

how can I set up the uhd630..

I have put together this simple little guide for anybody wanting to use a Patched DSDT EFI with the same configuration as me.
This is also a thread to discuss everything Z390 Master and try and help where we can and maybe make things a little better for you.

A huge massive thank you to @glasgood @MaLd0n @larabee These three guys have helped me and talked me so much and are as helpful as you could ever get, Without them I wouldn't have a perfect working build like I do or be putting up this Guide & Discussion Thread sharing the hard work and countless hours that we have all put in to this.

This EFI and Patched DSDT have been created to work with a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master using bios revision F11c, 9900k with a 5700 XT but has also been tested and verified fully working with the following Hardware

      CPU's
      8600K, 8700, 8700K, 9400K, 9600K, 9700K, 9900K, 9900KS (All KF Models work but use SMBios iMacPro1,1 instead)

      GPU's
      RX 560, 570, 580, 590, Vega 56, Vega 64, Radion VII, RX 5500, 5500 XT, 5600, 5600 XT, 5700, 5700 XT
(If you have success with any different CPU or GPU's then please do let me know)

@glasgood Has kindly put together a new simple Catalina install guide so Just Follow He's Guide For a Perfect Install. (glasgood put the guide together for the Z390 Pro but the two boards are so alike that you can follow this guide with no problems at all using the Z390 Master)

Please Note - I have now set KernelPM to No as standard so if you don’t have a unlocked MSR or not using my MSR Unlocked Bios Profile then go into the Clover Config.plist and set KernelPM to Yes or you won’t be able to boot up. An even better fix would be to unlock your MSR using my profile method.

Note - If your not using a 5700 XT or any other Navi GPU then remove agdpmod=pikera from the boot arguments.

      OpenCore EFI Update v0.6.0 - 04/08/2020
Myself and @texem have now created a OpenCore EFI done the way the OpenCore Devs intended it to be made, There is no DSDT in use so you can use this EFI on any supported GPU and the SSDTs have been made so they will not be used in any other Operating System apart from MacOS.

Note 2 - Do not try to carry across your old OpenCore Config.plist to the new EFI as to many changes have occurred in 0.6.0 so please use the new Config.plist instead.

In this thread, I have fully documented the installation of macOS Catalina on my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Mini. It is a PERFECT HackMini8,1 and is running very well for me without any issues. I hope this documentation helps you to install macOS on your hack. Please leave feedback if you think there is anything I can improve and let me know if you have any questions.
      **********************************************************************************

      Background
This is my first "modern" hack supporting UEFI and my first hack using Clover "on-the-fly" patches.  My previous hacks
Laptop: Thinkpad T61 / Nvidia NVS 140m Laptop: Dell Latitude E6410 / Nvidia G3100m Desktop: Gigabyte G31 / GeForce 9600 Desktop: Biostar TH55HD / Sapphire Pulse RX580 (Google "Catalina Biostar TH55HD" and look for user name deeveedee)
are all perfectly running Catalina and I patched them all "manually" - all DSDT patches applied with MaciSL with virtually no Clover on-the-fly patching and all booted Legacy Clover.  This UEFI hack was MUCH easier and took about 20 hours vs. a combined hundreds of hours for the old hacks.  I wanted a hack that was a little more future proof and I think this is it.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I am enjoying it.  It is a perfect MacMini8,1.

Making a High Sierra USB Installer Entirely From Scratch in Windows
This is a proof of concept tutorial, to show it's possible to create a vanilla High Sierra installer, entirely from scratch, in Windows (even without App Store downloaded "Install macOS High Sierra.app" from a real Mac ).  @PikeRAlpha's link to Apple's Software Catalog provides us with all the URLs necessary to download the needed files directly from Apple instead of some dubious source from the internet...

      Pre-Requisites
8GB or larger USB drive.  Edit: Recommend 16GB or larger for macOS Catalina 10.16 Boot Disk Utility v2.1.2017rev021b from @CVAD TransMac (free 15 day trial) Paragon Hard Disk Manager Free Download Installer Files Directly from Apple
      1)  Browse Apple's Regular Software Catalog and find the URLs to download the following 6 installer files...
BaseSystem.dmg BaseSystem.chunklist InstallInfo.plist InstallESDDmg.pkg AppleDiagnostics.dmg AppleDiagnostics.chunklist (Hint - search page for "InstallESD" to find its URL and others nearby)

to a folder named "SharedSupport" on your Windows NTFS drive.  A browser download manager (eg Chrono for Chrome, dTA for FireFox) is handy since InstallESD is >4GB ---> allows you to pause/resume interrupted download...

      2)  Rename InstallESDDmg.pkg to InstallESD.dmg
      3)  Edit InstallInfo.plist with WordPad/text editor to remove the chunklistURL and chunklistid keys for InstallESD, and renaming it from InstallESDDmg.pkg to InstallESD.dmg (example of edited file attached to this post)...
Note:  You can verify the SHA1 checksum of your InstallESD.dmg and BaseSystem.dmg with the correct ones at this website.
Boot Disk Utility to format the Installer USB and Restore OS X Base System HFS partition
      1.  Format USB with BDU & latest Clover ---> creates boot files in CLOVER partition + second FAT partition
      2.  Extract 4.hfs from \SharedSupport\BaseSystem.dmg with BDU --> save to it's local folder
      3.  Restore 4.hfs to USB second partition with BDU --->  2nd partition becomes bootable "OS X Base System"
Paragon Hard Disk Manager to extend HFS Partition to its Full Extent
Open Paragon Partition Manager Free and resize the second partition of the USB drive to the full size allowed.  Don't forget to apply the changes at the end...
Transmac to Copy "SharedSupport" folder to OS X Base System
      1.  Open the TransMac program and navigate to the HFS+ Volume/Install macOS High Sierra.app/Contents folder.  Right click anywhere in the empty space on the RHS pane and select "Copy Here"...
      2.  In the next stage, select the "SharedSupport" folder we created above as the "Files and Folders to be copied to the Mac Volume"...

      Clover Settings
Clover configuration is required now.  The default config.plist (in the Clover FAT32 partition of the USB) maybe sufficient to boot your machine if you’re lucky.  If not, the hackintosh-vanilla-desktop-guide has some good explanations on the various settings available and also offers sample configuration files based on CPU type.  Also, look at the Clover Wiki, Clover Instructions and Clover Configuration Thread for pointers and edit /EFI/Clover/config.plist accordingly with Wordpad or Notepad.
The location of the important configuration files for Clover are summarized below
config.plist--->EFI/CLOVER folder DSDT.aml with or without SSDT.aml--->EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched (don't need one if your DSDT is auto patched by Clover in config.plist) Kexts eg FakeSMC, NullCPUPowerManagement --->EFI/CLOVER/kexts/<osx version> or /Other. NB BootDiskUtility by default already has FakeSMC.kext installed here.  You may need to add VoodooPS2Controller for your laptop keyboard/trackpad to work. If UEFI booting, you will most likely need one of the OsxAptioFixDrv-64 drivers copied from /EFI/CLOVER/drivers-off/drivers64UEFI to /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI. If you want to use the installer to run High Sierra in Windows on VMware, you can follow my guide to set up the Virtual Machine and replace Clover's default config with EFI_Clover for VMware (which is compatible to run in VMware).  In the screenshots below, I have attached the USB Installer (in this case PhysicalDrive7) to my macOS Virtual Machine.  Reboot the system to the USB installer to install High Sierra ...
What happens if we don't have access to TransMac or Paragon Hard Disk Manager?
Not a problem, as long as we get "OS X Base System" bootable, we can launch terminal from the Utilities Menu to copy the SharedSupport folder over to the Installer app.  In essence, we will build the full installer app = 5GB+ on the target HD eg "Macintosh HD", by copying both the "small" installer app = 15MB (on "OS X Base System") and the SharedSupport folder from the NTFS volume (mounted in this example on /Volumes/DATA)...
      -bash-3.2# cd / -bash-3.2# cp -R Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/ -bash-3.2# cp -R /Volumes/DATA/SharedSupport /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/
...then start installation with the startosinstall utility...
      -bash-3.2# /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --volume /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD --converttoapfs NO --applicationpath /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app
The above steps can be automated with the attached "startosinstall.command" script, which will assemble "Install macOS High Sierra.app" on "Macintosh HD" and launch the startosinstall utility targeting the "Macintosh HD" volume.  Copy/download to "Macintosh HD", then run in terminal (after attaching DATA USB with /Shared Support folder)...
cd "/Volumes/Macintosh HD" chmod +x startosinstall.command ./startosinstall.command Updated Download Links for macOS Mojave 10.14.6_18G103
Browse Apple's Regular Software Catalog and find the URLs to download the following 6 installer files...
      BaseSystem.dmg BaseSystem.chunklist InstallInfo.plist InstallESDDmg.pkg AppleDiagnostics.dmg AppleDiagnostics.chunklist
Note: In Mojave, Apple has removed the --converttoapfs NO and --applicationpath arguments from the startosinstall utility....

eg to use startosinstall for the above section "What happens if we don't have access to TransMac or Paragon Hard Disk Manager?", the syntax is now
      -bash-3.2# /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --volume /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD
This basically means that for Mojave, the default installation will always convert the target volume to the apfs file system.
