BretMan
I have a Gigabyte (Intel 945 chipset) and had a problem on 10.4.4-6 whereby restart didn't work, but shutdown did. This was solved by using Omni's patch to the kernel (found in the wiki) using HexEdit. I've tried searching for a similar hex sequence to replace in the new 10.4.8 Kernel (mifki) without success. Does anyone know if any of the various kernel flavours floating around include a patch for this, or alternatively, Omni, could you give me a tip as to what you changed so I can mod the source and recompile to get the restart working? (or even another hex edit hack?) Thanks for any help....
