  1. I have a Dell Latitude E6510 Core i5, NVidia graphics, 4 Gb RAM SATA 7200 RPM drive (in AHCI mode) and have replaced the stock Intel wireless PCI half-mini with a Broadcom BCM4322. I can install fine, but no matter what guide I follow or which audio or wireless kexts I try, I cannot get either sound or wifi. Any other E6510 users out there have any solutions for iATKOS ML2 method of installing or any other methods. I have tried myHack and even Pandora.app, and cannot get either one of those to even boot after installation. Thanks and thanks for your patience.
  2. Pandora's Box OS X installer

Installed Pandora.app 1.34 Beta 2, have a couple of questions.. when it asks for Which Mac model I want to use.. I have no idea.. the laptop I want to run ML or Mavericks on is a Dell E6510, Core i5, 4 gb ram, replaced the Intel wireless with a broadcomm BCM4322, has the Nvidia graphics Any guidance on that option in the install or others I should be aware of? Thanks
  3. Greetings, I just installed SL 10.6.0 following the guide and video from technow.cc. Sound and resolution were not working (as documented in guide), post install script fixed those two issues. So I have working wireless, bluetooth, sound and screen resolution.. was hesitant to upgrade to 10.6.1 but that went fine. Now my question is, given everything is working pretty well, I would like to upgrade to 10.6.5, I am a bit reluctant but would welcome recommendations. If there is a guide that you can point me to would be great. Thanks!
  4. Belkin F5D7000 ver 5000 in 10.4.6

I have OSx86 working but I had to get another wifi card, I chose a Atheros based PCI card (I forget the brand right now), but I bought it for like $20 from an online seller.. I can get the make/model if you need it.. sorry for not getting back to you.. I have not been able to "play" as of late so I have not checked until today.. I want to get back into this and get Leopard to load..
  5. Everything was working fine.. wireless, sound, Intel GMA 950, CD RW/DVD-ROM I was asked if I wanted to install the latest iTunes and in the past it was never a problem.. after installing the update iTunes will no longer run, it says it requires OSx 10.4.9 or later.. It has been a long time since I installed JaS 10.4.7 on this laptop, but is there a real easy/safe way to update this machine to 10.4.9 without reinstalling from scratch? Any help appreciated! Thanks
  6. My Lenovo T60 with Intel GMA 950 works right out of the shoot...
  7. Hi.. I am looking for a laptop to by.. did you ever get it to install properly on your Acer Aspire? Thanks!
  8. I have tried it on both of my OSX machines, one running JaS 10.4.7 and the other 10.4.8 JaS Semthex beta8 It installs and starts and runs for a long time then gives disk error messages on the disk I am saving the output to. Anyone have this working correctly? Thanks!
  9. Itunes Problems

  10. DVD Player app does not work properly

    Semthex 8.8.1 beta 8
  11. I have 10.4.8 working nicely on my computer, very happy with it.. until.. for the first time I decided to try and watch a DVD on it, just for curiosity really, it launches but the video is jumpy and the sound stutters.. My hardware is listed in my signature as well as version of hackintosh. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks
  12. "About This Mac" Resets

Try Paulicat's solution.. smbios.kext it solved it for me
  13. Atheros wireless help needed

That did the trick.. I made the mistake of copying the 10.4.5 version of the kext.. the system didn't like that at all! Also thanks to Rammjet for keeping track of all this stuff on his signature section!!
  14. [How To] Solutions for Wireless Problems

Here is my report of success using a Lenovo T60 Type 1952 A97 which has Intel Core Duo, ICH7, GMA950 Running JaS 10.4.7 SSE3 Intel ISO First, you have to replace the integrated miniPCI Express Intel Wireless a/b/g card with the optional Atheros based miniPCI Express wireless a/b/g - $49.99 from Best Buy Business Easy to install, only 5 screws - remove wrist rest, and keyboard, actually just move them aside and you get clear access to the wireless card, remove 2 small screws and the antenna leads and replace the card with the new one... of course follow good electronics safety, remove from power source, remove battery before starting and wear a ESD strap. You do not have to replace the IO80211Family.kext.. simply kextload the AirportAtheros5424.kext, repair permissions and reboot and you will see the Airport icon on the tool bar.. go into Network utility and there you have it.
  15. I replaced the Intel Centrino a/b/g card in my lenovo T60 with the optional Lenovo Atheros based wireless miniPCI express card but cannot get it to work. From XP the device info is: PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_1014&SUBSYS_058A1014&REV_01\4&20975680&0&00E1 I looked in the IO80211Family.kext AirPortAtheros5424.kext Info.plist file and vendor id 168c and dev id 1014 are in the file already. What else do I have to do to get it working in OSx86? It works in XP Pro Thanks
