Allan
Bro, Hibernation it's not a good idea for SSDs if you use it. Read more here: Sleep, Hibernation - How it works? and How to use? PS: If you use HDDs, it's another history PS 2: Sleep it's other function btw 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/323480-gigabyte-z170-hd3p-cant-shutdown/#findComment-2419509 Share on other sites

srmusico
Yeah!, i got the solution. there just a problem of Pro Tools app. Avid create a plugin named Avid CoreAudio.plugin that block the shutdown in El Capitan. I only have to delete this and now it shutdown with no problem. ¡Thanks you so much MaLd0n! http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309403-el-capitan-unable-to-shutdown/ oh, and sleep is not working. if it can works, fine, but if not,not a problem jaja 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/323480-gigabyte-z170-hd3p-cant-shutdown/#findComment-2419544 Share on other sites

Allan
sorry Allan, i was speaking about sleep mode xD not hibernation, sorry for the confusion. NP bro To be sure that you'll not have problems, disable the "automatic" hibernation mode. Run this in Terminal: sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 sudo rm /var/vm/sleepimage sudo mkdir /var/vm/sleepimage Always check your hibernatemode after updates and disable it. System updates tend to re-enable it, although the trick above (making sleepimage a directory) tends to help.
