  1. Hi I am try to install High Sierra, as per ##### I have have successfully booted from the install usb drive and have booted into "Install macOS High Sierra". I had to add a boot flag (-no_compat_check) to the clover bootloader in order for the usb stick to boot properly. Also, at first I couldn't see the SSD drive in disk utility, but I fixed that by asking disk utility to show all drives. Onto the current problem. I am having major issues trying to install High Sierra to a NVMe SSD. When I run "Install macOS High "Sierra" I get the following error: "The version of macOS installed on this mac is newer than the version you are trying to install. When a new update is available, you can install it from the Updates plane in the Mac App Store. If you want to reinstall macOS, please use macOS recovery." Also, It doesn't matter if the startup volume is formatted as APFS or HFS+. If I format the drive using GPARTED on linux, the installer just says the startup volume doesn't have journaling enable. If I then run disk utility and enable journaling on the startup volume, then go back to the installer, I get the aforementioned error msg. I have the following specs: i9-7900. Asus Prime X299 Deluxe. ADATA 512GB NVMe SSD. How do I fix this issue?

    Error Report after each reboot

Hello everyone. I am new to this hackintosh world (about 1 week now) and I am very impressed with the sort of results it has yielded in my workflow. I use my laptop for guitar DSP and recording audio and have been able to come up with a good enough mackintosh build for it (using High Sierra 10.13.1 now). For the past one week I have been trying to get rid of an annoying popup "your computer was. restarted because of an error". If you take a look at the error report you shall notice Darwin 18.0.0 as being mentioned, which I presume is Mojave. What I had done is install 10.13.1 -> 10.13.3 -> 10.13.5 -> 10.14 Beta, where the 10.14 Beta failed and since then the error started popping up. After that I have reinstalled 10.13.1 multiple times, installed it to a different hard disk, used 'shred' from a linux live session on my laptops HDD and installed and still that error message won't go away. Everything functions fine, the error message is just annoying. If someone can help me get rid of it, it would just make the hackontish build cooler. PFA Error report. Cheers. Error Report.rtf

  4. MB: Asus X99 A-II RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V F4-3200C16D-32GVK (3200MHz, 4x 16GB DIMMs, so Total 64GB) in quad-channel configuration. CPU: i7 6800k @4.0Ghz GPUs: GTX 1080 Ti and GTX 1060 3GB (each one a monitor, because I can't get DVI to run parallel with DP on the 1080Ti, and my second monitor only has DVI/VGA) OS: High Sierra 10.13.2 (17C88) / Clover revision: 4392 Hello everybody, I occasionally have system crashes and suspect that it is related to RAM. However, this RAM is completely new, and a run with MemTest86+ from the USB stick showed no errors. However, if I use Memtest on MacOS, I get a bunch of error messages, but sometimes none (I restart the computer between tests). As I just discovered, my RAM is not on the recommended vendor list of my motherboard, nor is it on the manufacturer side of the RAM. I have read several times that the RAM may not have been tested by the manufacturer on this platform. Not a single X99 motherboard is listed for this RAM. So I also suspect that my RAM is not compatible. But if that were the case, how could it sometimes work completely error-free? During RAM tests in summer 2017 (a slightly different setup, 4x8GB but still G.Skill Ripjaws V) I had no errors at Memtest under MacOS, if I remember correctly. At that time it ran under Sierra 10.12.6. AptioMemoryFix.efi could also cause problems. I am appreciative for any help! Here is an excerpt from a faulty test. It is noticeable that it is always the same address during the test, but a different one after each test. 5. Hello. I am trying to install 10.13.4 to Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB. I have already well working on same drive 250 GB 10.13.2. Installation starting, I see progress bar, next as usual restarting and coninuing installation. And in one minute (estimated time still did not appear) I have this error... It says: Mac OS could not be installed on your computer Unable to complete operation (if I've translated correctly). (com.apple.osinstall, error -3) I've attached original log file I've saved from there and also attaching it into the spoiler below, screen photo is under the spoiler. Have no idea what it could be, apfs.efi is latest version for 10.13.4, fakesmc is latest, other clover files and config are just the same as on working 10.13.2, clover version latest 4439 (10.13.2 loading well from this efi also). Please help, anybody know what it can be? Installer Log 04-08-18.txt
  6. I've had a successful and functioning hackintosh for a while now. It's running Yosemite and has Clover as the boot loader. I want to update to Sierra but am having trouble doing so. I have updated my Clover to the latest version and put the mandatory boot lefts in their folder within the EFI partition. I run the Install macOS Sierra app and when the PC restarts I boot into the Installer partition with verbose to make sure nothing goes wrong. But it does go wrong. I get an error that says: "Error loading kernel cache (0x9)" I'm not sure what this means. Can anyone help me. Is there any way I can get to Sierra? Specs: CPU: i7 3770 Mobo: OEM Acer Board (MC605) GPU: GTX 760 SC Below is a video of me trying to boot into the update partition. Also a note. I deleted OSXAptioFixDrv but kept OSXAptioFixDrv2 as it would give me another error when booting into the update partition. However now the option for me to boot into my existing Yosemite installation is gone. I'm not sure if these are related. Any help is appreciated.

  8. First off, I'd like to thank anyone who would actually take the time to help a noob like me in desperate need of help. So basically I've just finished building my first ever rig. In the last couple of days I've been trying to get MacOS Sierra installed by creating a slew of bootable USBs one using #####, one using clover and a macos sierra installer from the app store. These have been created in a friends macbook pro running sierra. I've made sure to change all my mobo settings following this guide: Link removed My main problem is booting from the usb. While I have had two successful installs, after rebooting my pc, the apple logo turns into a prohibited sign or the bar gets stuck 30 percent of the way. Booting into verbose mode has shows errors like: OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for \system\library\coreservices\boot.efi Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake:no Error loading kernel cache (0x9) Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting... and sometimes gets stuck here ************************************************************************************ [iGPU] Failed to initialize graphics firmware. Any help?
  9. Hello to all, I have a problem with the installation of Os Sierra on vmware virtual machine. I see the error: "The CPU has been disabled by the guest operation system", and the O.S. doesn't start. How I can fix it?

    Problem Making Chameleon

Hey guys, I've posted on this twice before with limited response, so here i thought maybe i must provide insight into my problem. So GraphicsEnabler injection doesn't work for me, and i saw this guide here that would allow me to edit my ati.c file(attached) and recompile chameleon. Everything works until the last step where I have to type 'make' and i get this error here: Can anyone give me insight on how to fix this? Or at least can anyone replace their ati.c file in their source folder : /trunk/i386/libsaio/ and make this config and send me that file? I'll be very grateful Thanks in advance!! ati.c.zip

    HP Compaq plist

I am getting the error "an error occurred while installing OS X." I have found a few different things that I can't figure out. It seems like my Intel computer is up to the hardware requirements but I don't know what plist settings I should have... i'm using the Chameleon Wizard to edit my plist file and i've tried a bunch of different stuff. This is my computer, and here are my plist settings... plist.tiff I've messed with the plist settings 100 times and can't get it right... I have ACPI mode on in my bios but I can't find UEFI settings anywhere, the bios version is "786G1 v01.23". But since I can get to the installation screen doesn't that mean i'm past most of the issues? I am also getting an error "BootCacheControl: Unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist", no idea how to get rid of that. Do I need to flash my bios to get UEFI settings correct? I have been Googling around on how to do that and can't find out how to do it. I have given it my all... I am stuck
  13. Hello everyone, As I said in my introduction on this forum, I'm interested mostly interested in iOS development and that's the main reason for building hackintosh. My computer is HP Probook 455 G1 (it has A8-4500 amd processor). Because of that I used Niresh distro to install a hackintosh on my computer. First I tried to make a dualboot, and after that I also tried a VMware but result is the same. I can make my hackintosh to dualboot in both cases, and on VMware even internet, graphic and other things are working fine (I was too lazy to set drivers on doalboot or perhaps in didn't have time because of college and work) even xcode (both versions) is working. I can code, run playground (in version 6.0.1) but when i try to run application in simulator it crashes. Errors are different (but mainly nsmatcherror code=-308, dterror or something like that) and I can't simply work normally. Here is error report (Error is from Xcode 5.1.1 and I would need to make 6.0.1 to work but it looks same on both on first look): To summarize I would need to make iOS simulator working, because I would need to learn swift language for my exam and I would also like to focus on iOS and android development professionally. Thanks in advance!!! Cheers!!! :-)
  14. Hello everyone! I am still a newbie here, and with OSx86 I have a problem. I have just recently installed Yosemite Zone by Niresh on my Dell Studio 1537. It has an Intel Core 2 Duo and 3 GB of ram. I had no trouble installing it from my flash drive. When I try to boot from my HDD, (with -v), it goes ok for a while, and then starts giving me the error "FireWire GUID 00000000000000 Is Invalid!" every few seconds. It gets that about halfway through the boot process. It won't stop and move on at any point. I dont know what to do to get rid of it. (Still a newbie, like i said) Any solutions? -Plachostoms
  15. Hi everyone, I've another problem, now all work but I've a problem with Clover, I can't make it works, I've formatted the EFI partition in FAT32 and installed Clover in the EFI partition, I marked the partition as active and when I boot it up I get this. Any ideas? - ASUS P8P67 (REV 3.0) - Intel Core i7-2600 - Kingston DDR3 8GB - Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 2GB GDDR5

  19. Hello there, I know that exists another question about it, but I'm asking again because the first one don't helped me to solve my problem I'm trying to patch the DSDT that I extracted from linux, for audio ALC255 that I asked for help in this post, I already dissasembled from DSDT.aml to DSDT.dsl then I opened the DSDT.dsl in MaciASL and try to compile and get these two errors: 11288, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_ARG0 13018, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_NAMESEG, expecting '(' I apply the patch [syn] Remove _DSM Methods from RehabMan repository and try to compile again, then I get this error: 13018, 6126, syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_NAMESEG, expecting '(' the clean DSDT.dsl from linux: DSDT.dsl.zip
  20. Hola! He intentado mi maneras y no consigo arreglar el error.
  21. Hello, I tried to decompile and then recompile a dsdt file without any patches just to see if the compiler work and the result is it didn't. Is anybody know why this happen? My mobo is biostar a880g+, the bios is ami bios. I get the dsdt.aml using acpidump.exe then acpixtract.exe. Then i decompile it using iasl.exe -d to get the dsdt.dsl. but when i tried to recompile it using iasl without any patches, it spit out three errors: Compiler aborting due to parser-detected syntax error(s) ../../Documents/acpidumps/dsdt.dsl 3361: If (ECEN) Error 6126 - syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_IF ^ ../../Documents/acpidumps/dsdt.dsl 5799: If ((STCL == 0x0101)) Error 6126 - syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_IF ^ ../../Documents/acpidumps/dsdt.dsl 6190: Error 6126 - syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_SCOPE, expecting $end and premature End-Of-File when i tried using (old) maciasl on osx 10.6, it spit out even more errors (near 200 errors). is there anyone can help me with this? i tried to attach the dsdt.dsl but the forum attachment tool didn't allow me to upload this kind of file... i've rename my dsdt so i can upload it here... can someone help me fix compiling errors, and if you can, please help me with fix the original dsdt before adding any patch, and after adding patch for osx... thank's... The original binary file is around 41.5kb, but if i compile and produce those errors, the result is only around 20.1kb... my-intel-dsdst.txt
