EtherealRemnant
That's my system, btw. And Titan.kext works with a bit of hacking (I have an nForce4 chipset and both GeForce.kext and NVDANV40Hal.kext try to activate anything with nVidia's manufacturer number, 10de, as a video card). I now have full accel on my 7900GT CO. And its a 2.2GHz Athlon 64, not a 3GHz. Many many thanks to semthex, rufus, and everyone else involved in this. This is one great boost. xtraa
Hi, do we have to install the Apple Combo first? Or is it ok to just apply the patches? (10.4.8 with 10.4.4.kernel here) Thanks in advance

rjtd
What JaS DVD should I download, in order to apply the ppf to it? Also, what if I have the FSB set to 250 (overclock)?

xtraa
Sorry to bump but I am really stucked. Before I install the best-thing-of-the-year baby can someone give me a hint if it requires the original Apple combo package to be installed, first? thanks! Kiphaas7
Looks great! Will there also be a kernel for poor intel sse3 users who can't boot natively, and have the vmware bug?
EtherealRemnant
Its not ready for prime-time yet. There will be a release soon just wait because the current method is a pain in the ass. Here's a few things I've noticed though: The timing is off. The clock rolls back about 10 minutes per hour. So if its been on for an hour, its 10 minutes behind, two hours, 20 minutes, etc. Also, this causes stuttering every 10 seconds or so in audio. These are both timing issues that could be fixed though. As far as anything else goes, OpenGL blows my mind. And its nice to not hear my 7900GT's jet of a fan anymore once OS X starts. Resolution switching is total fluid. The audio thing is a tad annoying though and so is the clock.

JaS
JaS, will you seed the new (beta) AMD update on demon? No it will be only to testers in my channel on irc.anyone that wants to test it out, just join and hang till I get around to give it out.
EtherealRemnant
Okay... so it seems like the approximate right FSB for AMD would be your FSB divided by four and taking that result and adding it on top of your real FSB. Example: 200/4 = 50. So you take 50 and add it on to 200 to make 250. Adjust up and down from there. Its really close, at least on my system. rjtd
EtherealRemnant, what do you get on "Bus speed" if you run cpuz from windows? 200?
EtherealRemnant
Yep, 200. But apparently the kernel is built around Intel timers, not AMD. Also, nothing seems to change the fact that clock is fubar.
EtherealRemnant
After some toying, we figured out a lot of problems were due to a missing kext. The clock issue is still there but the stuttering sound is gone. Games are sweet as hell too.
