macattackjack
Hi Trying to do a clean install of 10.12.2 from a working Hackintosh 10.9.2 intel 4930k Asus Sabertooth x79 v1.02. 32 gigs ram. NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 2048 MB Used Rampage Dev method using the latest clover boot loader., UFEI install and it seems to always get stuck at "waiting on <dict id="0"><key> ioproviderclass.... etc when trying to boot to run the Sierra installer Various boot flags have produced little difference. Have tried adding the x79 post installation kexts to clover I tried turning off legacy usb support and that got it to one step further. Also tried with EVGA GeForce 710 , same result. The link to the Chris1111 Sierra installer here is dead. Any thoughts? macattackjack
That is, the http://ddi.hopto.org...tall/src/master link doesn't work, and I am not the only one who is having problems. Every guide I have found is down. Must be a conspiracy. Or Russians. One of the two.Still no thoughts on why it's hanging? Anyone? C.Frio
Hi.. I found this on other site.. "In Clover Configurator -> ACPI UnCheck the "Drop OEM" attribute in the SSDT section." If any result 'till now, could try... macattackjack
Yes, that didn't work for me. However I did discover what did. Evidently, the USB stick is a 3.0 stick and the installer needs to be in a USB 3 port. lol I was messing around turning the usb ports off and on in the bios and when I saw it affected where it hung during the boot, I tried putting it in the usb 3 port and it worked. Who knew? Also once it booted into the mac installer, the usb 2 ports stopped working. So we'll see post install what happens. I have the x79 kexts and we'll see how they help Thanks C.Frio! 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/319490-mac-usb-sierra-installer-for-where-art-thou/#findComment-2338130 Share on other sites
