stevep0070 Posted October 1, 2015 Share Posted October 1, 2015 Hello- So I have been trying dilligently for days to get OSX Yosemite installed on my HP Pavillion dv6 2150us laptop. I have tried all kinds of different flags and bios settings and in verbose i get all the way to a point where that screen looks like it changes to a GUI but it is garbled lines that i cant make anything of. I am looking for pretty much a walkthrough on how to get this working. I am using a legitimate copy of OSX Yosemite from my wifes MacBook Air but I would like to install El Capitan (which I can get from her MacBook when I update it). What would be the best bootloader for my install? Kexts? really any and all help would be appreciated. Attached are hardware and system info screenshots. Thank you all so much in advance. Its my first post but I have been lurking the forums for weeks getting tons of information from other's posts but I just haven't been able to get it right yet. I have another thread in the the appropriate forum if anyone can help.
