Hey guys, so I am having a terrible time trying to get VGA up and running on this machine. You can see my specs in my signature, but it's an HP Laptop on 10.10 with Intel HD 3000 graphics.

So I've followed a couple guides...

https://insanelydeepak.wordpress.com/2015/03/10/guide-vga-hdmi-intel-hd3000-gpu/

http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1969-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/

http://www.osxlatitude.com/how-to-enable-vga-and-hdmi-on-intel-hd-3000/

They're all the same.

but no matter what I do I can't seem to enable VGA output on this machine. I've got full QE/hardware acceleration, 1080p screen, HDMI working great, but I really need VGA on this thing.

I'm not sure I'm doing all of the steps correctly - for instance, in the above guides it will list the VGA code and then have 'xx' where it says the 'port number for VGA' should go. What would I put there..?

I've tried quite a few things, and I'll end up messing with it so much that it either boots in like 600x800 with no QE, or it doesn't show video at all.

I've uploaded both my DSDT as well as my AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext in a zip file, if possible could someone look over these to see what my deal is? I've been stuck on this one for a while now, feel like I've hit a wall here..

Hey Allan, thanks for the suggestion. I installed the kext using Kext Wizard after deleting the previous one from System/Library/Extensions and I put that DSDT in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patched as well.

This one's not working either... looking at the files you sent I can see the connector that's there and I think that it SHOULD be working. I really am not sure what's going on here, this one has got me stumped. Any further ideas?

I thought that 0602 was always VGA on HD 3000? Maybe the port number could be wrong? Thanks for the guidance man, I'm just not sure where to proceed here...

Edit: this link to OSX Latitude http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1969-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/states that Intel Registry Dump in Linux could produce the VGA port number. Doing some Googling, I don't find any evidence that a program like this exists! This is the only guide of the over ten guides on this exact process I've found that states anything at all about how to actually find that port number, even though they all reference it.

Try this Script: http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1969-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/?p=37944

Make sure that you have use the right SMBios.

About "Intel Registry dump", would be good if you ask @EMlyDinEsH about that...

some models use Intel HD 3000 when installing hackintosh will support VGA.

and HDMI is not supported although some lines will support HDMI and VGA

.. Way to VGA operation are:

+ HD3000 still has the ability to Utilize VGA port with some minor annoyances, namely - full hotplug support. You have to connect the monitor is before you start OSX and khi you unplug the printer monitor running system, OSX will still think it's connected off until you reboot.

Hey can somebody help me to activate VGA on my Lenovo Z570 i7 with the Intel HD3000?

I have some patches and edits in the Clover config.plist but I'm only copy them from other sites.

Im not sure if these are corrects ore helpful, some are disabled.

When I plug in a external VGA monitor I get a screen, but the screen has many graphical bugs.

I already have a patch in Mavericks, but I forget to copy this before installing El Capitan.

Edit: Is it possible to patch the AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB with Clover?
