  1. So, I've installed Yosemite. But when I boot I just get a black screen with the mouse cursor. Which I am able to move. After a long while, about 5-10 minutes, the login screen finally shows up. Yet, the resolution is still wrong, and in the hardware info It detects the graphics card but says that no kext's were found. I'm using DSDT (which i uploaded). It's the one I used on Mavericks. On Mavericks, after placing the DSDT, the graphics would work perfectly. Also note that on Mavericks I used Chameleon and now I'm using Clover. I'm also attaching my config.plist. Can anyone tell me what I should try? Thanks! stuff.zip
  2. I'm using Lenovo E320 with HD3000 integrated graphics, it's screen turns black during startup or installation. OS X 10.7.3 - 10.8.2 versions. I discovered that to replace the AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext in S/L/E by the one of Lion 10.7.0 can solve this issue. I think this solution may help in 10.8.2 and some laptop models too. I would like to know other solutions, wish you would share your experiences. More details of the above issue: Hardware: Lenovo E320, Intel i3-3250M, HM65 Express Chipset, HD3000 integrated graphics Symptom: Lion 10.7.0: both install and bootup without problem Lion 10.7.3 - M. Lion 10.8.1: 1. built-in LCD screen turns black during startup or installation. 2. if a monitor is attached with HDMI port, both built-in screen and HDMI monitor work fine all the time
  3. Hi, first sorry for mi english my native languaje is spanish. I Have one problem with Intel HD 3000 video card, I installed iATKOS L2/Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 and I updated to 10.7.4 and I tested with kext and I have the same problem. DRMStatus and SNB Fail If I delete this kext "AppleIntelHD" and "AppleIntelSNB" I can boot without QE/CI. Any idea? regards
  4. Hi Everyone! First of all would like to thank the community for bringing so much information ! I've been trying to install iatkos L2 for 2 days but I am now stuck and I really need your help (ps:I looked for answers on every single website ) I have a toshiba p750 (intel core i7 ; GT 540M/intel HD3000) The problem was that I couldn't boot after installation (with chameleon) I got stuck on the apple logo, when I used -x I could see it recognised a 450M (I didn't install any vga kext to avoid that ) So I tried -x ; graphicsenabler=yes & no I tried to reinstall iATKOS L2 with chimera 1.6, which is a better option apparently for my graphic card, I didn't install any vga kext again Right now when I use GraphicsEnabler=No it looks like everythings work fine, I can turn on and off the volume by pressing the buttons on my laptop, the wifi led is also turning on & off, there's a music that turns on (meaning the installation was a success??) but the problem is that I can only see that apple logo. In my opinion it is definitly a problem coming from the graphic card(s) but I am not sure and I really don't know what to do right now I thought that without any vga kext it would recognise the intel HD3000 immediately and work fine Any idea, suggestion? Thanks in advance, I really like the spirit of the forum (opensource forever ) and it would be a pleasure to help you guys in the near futur (why not ?!) edit: osx 10.7 not 10.8
  5. Hi all, I am new to the forum, I have a strange case here wonder anyone can lend a hand? I have a Thinkpad x220, this x220 is specially mod to have a FHD LCD Panel, the mod take advantage of the DisplayPort 2 that was not being used by the dock system, a special eDP board were made to drive a LP125WF2-SPB FHD panel. It work well with Windows (Duplicate display has to be set under display), tho I am trying to get OSX running on it. I followed guide in InsanelyMac and ###### I got 10.10 install and running alright, the only thing I can not get it work was the display. (As expected) by default installation, things went smooth, tho the LP125WF2-SPB panel show no output (I am using kext for normal x220 hackintosh), I tho notice backlight does work, toggling it in System Preference does make the LCD brighter and dimmer (I was told by the person who did the mod this is how his hack works, the backlight was still wired and controlled as normal x220 with normal panel) And only 1 display was found by system, After a bit of search I found some info about AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB patching. I tried patching /S/L/E/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB/Contents/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB by replacing 02 05 00 00 00 04 00 00 07 00 00 00 > 02 05 00 00 00 08 00 00 06 00 00 00 Fix cache / permissions, reboot, System seems to pick up the panel after the patch, Display Preference does pickup 2 monitor this time, as I would do before, mirror 2 display settings in Preference. I start to see images on the panel, but the image / colors are all wrong as the attachment. Running ioreg -l in terminal I do get correct EDIDs (compare to the ones I found on windows, 2 of them) I can VNC / Teamviewer into the machine without any issue, I can see that things works well by 1920x1080 just no display on the screen. Anyone any directions / ideas where I should be looking into? Great thanks in advance.
  6. Alright so I got Niresh's build of OS X Yosemite 10.10 installed on my laptop. Everything seems to work and I don't need safe mode to boot into the graphical environment. However, the mouse is extremely laggy, I have no QE/CI, and my resolution is locked to 1024x768 when I have a 1366x768 screen. System report claims I have 3mb VRAM when I know I should have more than that. No kexts were loaded. When I boot into verbose everything seems to work, but the last few lines before the login screen appears are: DSMOS has arrived [iOBluetoothHCIController][staticBluetoothTransportShowsUp] -- Received Bluetooth Controller register service notification -- 0xd800 [iOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed [iOBluetoothHCIController::setConfigState] calling registerService **** [iOBluetoothHCIController][ProcessBluetoothTransportShowsUpActionWL] -- Connected to the transport successfully -- 0x2580 -- 0xc800 -- 0xd800 **** SNB Framebuffer did not show up, unload SNB Framebuffer did not show up, unload I have read different posts on this site and others, new kexts, deleting kexts, and even DSDT edits don't work. I've uploaded images of my Hardware Overview, OS X version and Graphics information below, along with a zip containing my entire kernel log and my system DSDT, only patched with this: Link removed - Please read our Rules. (MaciASL wouldn't let me save it with the errors) Please help. Files.zip
  7. Just about any animation in Safari causes the graphics engine to hang, sometimes it recovers and others I have to force shutdown. It happens when I move a window around or when I click on a Facebook notification that opens in Safari. Sometimes even opening Safari causes the hang. The "Genie" animation causes it the most but even the "Scale" animation causes it as well. The zip file attached contains the message I get in console, my DSDT, SMBIOS, IOReg, and Enoch config file. I have an Inspiron N5110, Sandy Bridge, Core i3-2350m with HD3000, El Capitan 10.11, Enoch boot loader. MacLaggin MacBook Pro.zip
  8. Hi, I have recently got my RIG working quite well on El Capitan, with one of the issues being that my resolution needed is not available and the only resolution available is 1024x768. I have no QE/CI and graphics can be laggy and stutters especially when logging in to the OS. I would like to add that in order for El Capitan to realise my GPU is a HD3000 I boot with InjectIntel under Graphics Injection with the ID: 01128086 My RIG's specs are in my signature This GPU and my USB 3.0 are the last things I need to get working. So if you can help that would be great. Screenshots are included in this post. I was also wondering which exact DSDT's/SSDT's I need and where. When I extract them with Clover I get: DSDT.aml SSDT-0.aml SSDT-1.aml SSDT-2.aml SSDT-3x.aml SSDT-4x.aml SSDT-5x.aml My Unmodified DSDT is attached and below is the patch I am trying to apply and compile into the DSDT: # Maintained by: PJALM (help@pjalm.com) for: http://pjalm.com/repos/ # These patches are the registered property of PJALM.COM and can not be # redistributed or modified without the written consent of PJALM.COM. # Links to these patches are allowed. 9. Hello, I have successfully set up 10.7.2 on my Thinkpad W520. There are two graphics chips I can choose in the BIOS, "Integrated" (Intel HD3000) or "Discrete" (Nvidia Quadro 1000M). Everything works great under the Discrete setting, but it won't boot with the Integrated setting. I'm using the latest Chimera bootloader. I get a Kernel panic about "No HPETs available." I have tried a DSDT patch but no luck. Any ideas? It would be good for battery life to be able to use integrated graphics. Thanks!
  10. I decided to install El Capitan 10.11.4 and Yosemite 10.10.5 on my kid old laptop for my wife to use. It turns out to be a perfect MacBookPro 8,1. Everything works except the card reader. 1. I installed an SSD on the DVD bay a long time ago, it's still working and very fast with El Capitan 10.11.4 on it. 2. I installed Yosemite 10.10.5 on the internal hard drive triple boot with Windows 7. 3. Built-in WIFI AR9285 and Ethernet AR8152 and Bluetooth 2.1 work perfectly. 4. All 4 USB ports work at 2.0 since there isn't any USB3.0. 5. Sleep/Wakes perfectly with lid close and button. 6. I create comprehensive videos on POST El Capitan and Patch DSDT and SSDTs from beginning to end using this Laptop as an example. How to check device ids and extract dsdt and ssdt in Windows. How to create El Capitan USB installer with Clover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itA7MQy8jx8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_15BlTF9BdY Cheers, Louis PS: Attached are the clover folder for Lenovo G770 with DSDT and SSDT, sleep, wake, battery CLOVER_G770.zip

    power management HD3000

Hi, on my packard bell TS44HR , i noticied the HD3000 (id 0x0126, same as early 2011 13" MBP 8,1) don't have his power management working at all. it stuck at his low frequency all time (checked with intel power gadget) someone know about this issue ? actually under 10.8.5, using MBP 8,1 smbios, with a tuned fakesmc to match the model. i have a generated ssdt for CPUPM (kp at boot if not present), and "dropSSDT=Yes"in chameleon. (nothing change on this point if i set to "No") and, is the igp powermanagement depending from the original cpu ssdt ? thanks
  12. Hi, folks! Having lots of difficulties with these, which I took for granted as easy fixes. As always, tried hard to solve it myself, but since the troubleshooting steps that worked for others aren't working for me, I really could use some help. The computer is a Sony Vaio laptop, with a Sandy Bridge I3-2370-TM CPU, Intel HD3000 graphics and Atheros 9285 Wi-Fi (as already described in the topic's title). I patched my DSDT with the 9285 patch and with the HD3000 patch from Olarila: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1500 (warning: portuguese), but also tried without these patches and combinations of GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No and PCIRootUID=0/1. I use a MacBookPro 8,1 system definition as recommended for my hardware (sandy bridge). Attached is a Darwin Dumper report, an Everest Ultimate report, my current patched DSDT and my current org.chameleon.Boot.plist. Any help will be much appreciated! All the best!
  13. I'm installing Mavericks 10.9.1 on Dell Latitude E5420 I have got most of system to work fine. Anyhow I have weird issue with HD 3000 graphics. I'm not sure what might cause it. When i plug AC power screen starts to flickering. Flickering stops when battery is charged approx >90%. If I run Linux or Windows on laptop at AC power, screen does not flickering. Intel HD 3000 - VGA HELL

Hey guys, so I am having a terrible time trying to get VGA up and running on this machine. You can see my specs in my signature, but it's an HP Laptop on 10.10 with Intel HD 3000 graphics. So I've followed a couple guides... https://insanelydeepak.wordpress.com/2015/03/10/guide-vga-hdmi-intel-hd3000-gpu/ http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1969-guide-for-enabling-vga-and-hdmi-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/ http://www.osxlatitude.com/how-to-enable-vga-and-hdmi-on-intel-hd-3000/ They're all the same. but no matter what I do I can't seem to enable VGA output on this machine. I've got full QE/hardware acceleration, 1080p screen, HDMI working great, but I really need VGA on this thing. I'm not sure I'm doing all of the steps correctly - for instance, in the above guides it will list the VGA code and then have 'xx' where it says the 'port number for VGA' should go. What would I put there..? I've tried quite a few things, and I'll end up messing with it so much that it either boots in like 600x800 with no QE, or it doesn't show video at all. I've uploaded both my DSDT as well as my AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext in a zip file, if possible could someone look over these to see what my deal is? I've been stuck on this one for a while now, feel like I've hit a wall here.. Archive.zip
), clover configurator, ShowHiddenFiles, Efimounter, Voodooprefpane e Kext Utility Sierra version . 20. EDIT 09-15-2012 - While I had this laptop mostly working... it was a painful process and in the end game it was not nearly the laptop as a MBP (insert model) and I sold if off as a Window 7 machine. Edit - found the solution to the problem that I described below. The fix is described in this thread" http://www.tonymacx8...p?f=170&t=48206 I have wiped Win-7 off the Ultrabook and have it running Lion 10.7.3. Using a USB dongle for WiFi for now. ...end of edit. neil Looking for ideas to resolve black screen upon boot of Lion 10.7.2. This is on a Toshiba Ultrabook Z835 which runs a i3-2367M with 4GB memory and 128GB SSD. The internal display is 13.3 inch with 1366 x 768 which is bright a clear running Win 7 Home Prem. The system has a VGA port and HDMI port (both functional in Win 7 as mirrors or extended desktops). I have an USB external hard disk set up with Lion 10.7.2 to boot to HD3000 (using F12 Key at Power On lets me select the boot to external USB; works well). The system defaults to SATA AHCI mode. The system boots and instead of going to the Desktop, I get a black screen… the system is up and running, just no internal display. I do have keyboard and trackpad working along with Ethernet. Major items not working are internal screen, sound and WiFi. Then if I connect the HDMI port to a HDMI display (or HDMI to DVI adapter to DVI display) the display is good (full acceleration and selectable resolutions). All the while the internal display is black. Or I can boot to the external display and the internal screen is black from the start. Under Lion the VGA port is always non-op (as is to be expected). The 10.7.2 HD3000 kexts are version 7.12. I pulled the 7.14 kexts from my wife's new 13" MBA thinking that they might be a solution; but they did no better then the originals. So I am looking for a plausible solution. neil
  21. Hi, i'm trying to install 10.6.7 from MBP early 2011 install DVD (directly restored on usb stick, and using chamelon with MBP 8,1 smbios, with clean and patched dsdt) but when i'm supposed to be on the install screen, all i get is this glitched screen : the spinnig wheel doesn't freeze. this laptop actually work pretty well with 10.8.5, but i want to try snow leo on it from long time... the integrated gpu is a HD3000 with id 0126, wich is supposed to be supported by 10.6.7, and this id is quite present in the intelHD kext. someone have an idea about this problem ? could it be related with fixed memory sharing ? (in bios, it's fixed to 128 MB, i can't change it) booting with -x doesn't help. thanks
  22. Hello, I installed ML on an gigabyte H67n-usb3-b3 with i3 and intel HD3000 integrated graphics. All works just fine except for one very annoying issue. upon every reboot the graphic resolution resets to "Best for display" and the image is overscaled. To fix it i have to change resolution option to "Scaled" and select any other resolution and then select 1080p so it's ok for my display. Any help is apreciated. Thank you. Here's a screenshot that i took upon reboot. The clear part is what i see on my display.
