HI, I'm new here and wasn't sure where to ask this but I am trying to install OS X Mavericks on my Laptop (Inspiron 17r SE 7720).

I get to the screen prior to formatting the HDD with the images of what appear to be peripherals flashing on the screen, but i cannot continue or do anything because the resolution appears to be off. The apple logo screen was fine, but after that the screen appears stretched as if only half of the screen is visable. The pixels are clearly visible and the cursor moves far off the screen to the right. After a while it goes to sleep, and when i wake it up the grey areas of the screen turn either red or blue.  Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: Problem has been solved using DSDT=Null and config=null as well as -x. After which everything went beautifully.

I'm new where will I find dsdt=null ,config= null ?

Hello there

You should enter these when you boot

Assuming you're using clover, go to Clover options, at the "Bootargs" line, press enter and type "dsdt=null config=null" without the "

If that works for you, you might want to enable these bootargs into the config.plist Clover file using Clover Configurator
