    GeForce 9800 gx2 Sierra/High Sierra

Hi, not so much ago i got a geforce 9800 gx2 and i was wondering how do i get it to work on sierra/high sierra? i have tryied a lot of things but nothing worked, i always got a black screen, the only way to get it to boot is by using -nv_disable=1 which will boot the system of course without video acceleration but with one of the 2 gpus detected and the other not. since i am going to use this card for my 2008 dream hackintosh build, with sierra, how do i make it to work? Thanks for your answers
  2. Hello Gentlemens I am asking you with a great request for help with a problem I can not deal with. I hope I have chosen a good section on this topic I have been using my Hackintosh for some time now it does not cause me any more problems except for the one that irritates me My problem: the system does not recognize my monitor and detects it as a monitor monitor VGA 13,9'' (800 x 600) Gigabyte GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB My monitor model: LG Flatron W2243S As you can see in the attached picture, the system does not recognize the monitor as a built-in screen My main problem is that when the screen resolution is set to 1920x1080, black bars appear on the sides of the screen It is not very comfortable, that's why I would like to change it and make the image look the whole width of the monitor The monitor is connected to the graphics card with an adapter from the VGA connector to the DVI connector this is my conifig.plist https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kBoGpfR8ooGAm-Y9C8Qu7rZetDWI8t6w I hope that I described my problem in a comprehensible way, thank you very much for your help

    Internal Screen Problem

I have a samsung NP530U3C extract DSDT by clover and made the edit following the guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/ I also did following this guide https: // www. tonymacx86.com/threads/fixing-brightness-with-custom-edid.219413/ the fix of my EDID and followed the guide to put the brightness to work https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-laptop-backlight -control-using-applebacklightinjector-kext.218222 / I have the brightness to work but I have a problem in the screen I leave the image to see the problem. 4. Hello guys. I am setting up my first Hackintosh. Here are the specs: Mobo: Adlink M-342 with AMI Aptio 4 UEFI Intel i3 2120 SandyBridge 4GB RAM 500 GB SeaGate HDD So, here's the issue. The first part of the installation process works perfectly. At the end of the process, I am asked to perform a restart. I do that, it boots back to Clover. I select the HFS partition where I installed OSx, it loads for a while and then the screen goes blank. The only way I found so far to be able to boot to OSx is to set a FakeID in Clover's Graphics Injection menu. The only FakeID that works is this one: 0x041680862 Which is not even a real FakeID. There is no other way, at the moment, to boot to OSx but this one, which is far from a perfect solution (the screen flickers every now and then and I cannot select resolutions different from 1024x768). I really need help on this. HD4600 is known to be fully compatible with OSx, so nobody else has ever had this issue before (apparently). Thanks for your help.

AMD Radeon 7850M, successfully updated to 10.10.3 using fix method: modifying info.plist of AMDRadeonX4000.kext, changed AMDVerdeGraphicsAccelerator as: <key>CAIL_DisableDrmdmaPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableDynamicGfxMGPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableGfxCGPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableGmcPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableStaticGfxMGPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableUVDPowerGating</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>CAIL_DisableVCEPowerGating</key> <integer>1</integer> Combo updated to 10.10.4, the screen went black again after loading kexts, tried fixing with the above method but didn't work, now it went black even I enabled the Safe Mode~~~~ Here is my notebook info: HP Envy 17t-3200 CTO 3D Board:HP 1852 (Intel Ivy Bridge - HM76 Express) CPU:3rd Gen Core i7-3820QM @ 2.70 GHz Quadcore Graphic Card:ATI Radeon HD 7850M/8850M Sound Card:High Definition Audio Device @ Ethernet Card:Attansic AR8151 V2.0 Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wireless Card:Intel® Centrino® Ultimate-N 6300 AGN DVD ROM:HP BD E DC6E2SH Blu-Ray Combo Bluetooth:Broadcom 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 External Keyboard:Logitech MK330 USB 3.0 It seems that BIOS has blocked the Intel HD Graphics on my notebook. 7. Have removed the kernel patch, and am trying clover. See this post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299786-advice-sought—black-screen-after-boot/#entry2044867 Now I KP at startup. "Unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI"" I haven’t installed anything yet; I’m just trying to boot into the USB installation drive. To get it to boot I had to change mach_kernel using this perl patch discussed here: If I set GraphicsEnabler=No (default), I simply get a black screen after I see it do its normal verbose boot (the screen goes black right after [iOBluetoothHCIController]. If I set GraphicsEnabler=Yes, then it simply hangs on the same [iOBluetoothHCIController]. Has anyone run into this problem? I'd really appreciate some sort of solution. If no one has a solution, then any possible ways I could troubleshoot this would also be appreciated. A concise summary below: Issue: Black screen after boot. I can see everything on the boot screen, but nothing after. Hardware: EVGA Classified Z97 2x EVGA reference 780Ti i7-4790K Things I have tried: GraphicsEnabler=No (black screen remains) GraphicsEnabler=Yes (Hangs on [iOBluetoothHCIController]) PCIRootUID=0,1 DSDT=no -f, -F, -x
  8. Hey guys im trying install os x on my laptop but when i boot i got this screen
  9. Hello guys, I've got this laptop here, which works quite nice, especially since I've installed Windows 8 (RP) on it. But since I've always wanted to try Hackintosh on a laptop I decided to do it. Downloaded iAtkos L2, burned it on a DVD. Tested it, went straight to HDD boot after having set DVD boot as 1st prio. Then I disabled all other boot priorities but DVD. The screen appeared to turn on and off continuously. I let it do that for a while till I just stopped it. I think the whole laptop was restarting, because the bios procedure is really fast when you restart or stay on the same OS, regardless of OS I'm using (W7/W8), so I imagine some problem with drivers? Anything you guys know about? I've searched all over for anyone having the same issue. Thanks in advance. Something keeps chrashing, but I'm also trying to say my desktop can boot from the disk and the laptop did boot from W7 and W8 disks and usb.
  10. I have only JUST managed to get OSX86 installed on my laptop, and that was by installing Tiger. However, after all this, there is one last problem. The resolution... It is stuck at 1024x768 and wont let me make it larger OR smaller for that matter. My computer screens resolution SHOULD be at 1280x800. It also says this so im unsure what i should be doing >.< ive googled around for a kext but nothings coming up :'( I also tried to edit the com.apple.boot.plist but thats dont nothing also What SHOULD i do XD
  11. Hi all. I am trying to install OS Lion to Sony VAIO S1512 the new model with Ivy bridge i7 and HD Intel 4000 graphics. It has almost everything from the Realtek (Audio, Network Family adapter,... etc.) Now, I first tryied to install it on external HDD, but here is the problem... I cannot pass the black screen. I already have a USB Bootable flash drive with clean installation of Lion that worked on my HP Probook, but here doesn't work. When it should get to the installation screen after loading the Kexts it stops at the BLACK SCREEN and doesn't go further. Any ideas? Oh... is it possible to install to second partition of my SSD which already has a Windows 8 on it? Thank you for your help.
  12. Alright. I have a PNY GeForce GT 630 as stated in title. I got the card a few weeks ago and switched from a Radeon 4450 (or 4550.. doesn't matter). Naturally, I had to remove the GraphicsEnabler=Yes flag and the computer ran great. Eventually I installed the CUDA driver and it seemed to do its thing correctly. All was good. One day, I booted to a black screen in the morning. I wasn't sure why, so I tried again and manually added GraphicsEnabler=No. It booted fine. ...ok! For almost a week the machine would boot just perfect if I did a "restart" (as opposed to power-off shut down) and sometimes would boot fine if I shut it down and turned it back on promptly. Otherwise, I would have to manually enter the GraphicsEnabler=No at my Chameleon prompt. When I checked Chameleon Wizard's bdmesg, it showed that I was booting with GraphicsEnabler=No TWICE at this point (I had added it manually to the .plist and then, as stated, would have to manually type it in a boot in the mornings, etc). Eventually this stopped working and I was magically able to limp along with the same methods except adding PCIRootUID=1 every boot. Adding this to the .plist, just like GraphicsEnabler, would show that the machine booted with the flag but it would only work if I manually inputted it into Chameleon when selecting the drive upon booting. A few days after that, I was absolutely unable to boot no matter what. Black screen. I could VNC into the machine and see the desktop. According to Kext Wizard, the nVidia kexts are in fact being loaded. In System Information > Graphics/Displays, my card shows up as "Nvidia Chip Model", device ID 0x0f00, 128mb. I don't know if I have any hardware acceleration at this point since I'm only VNC'ing into the machine and it's a little slow and crappy anyway. I don't seem to get any glitching that would be apparent when I booted with nv_disable. Oh yeah, nv_disable will boot fine, as you might expect, with the subsequent crappy graphics performance and glitching and all of that. Of course this makes sense as the nVidia drivers are not loading. I currently run the machine on my old ATi 4870 which works just great with GraphicsEnabler=Yes. A little old for my needs and also gets hot and sucks a lot of power (I think it's around a 200w card or something silly!) I have tried nearly every combination of the following boot flags GraphicsEnabler=No (and Yes) PCIRootUID=1 and 0 PciRoot=1 and 0 npci 2000 and 3000 (whatever those were) I made a flash drive with Clover on it and was able to boot to the same black screen. I kept my Yosemite USB stick and never touched it after I first successfully installed, back when I was using the Radeon 4450. I cannot boot from this USB stick using any combination of the above flags either. I plan on making a Mavericks stick with MyHack soon and seeing if I can get that to boot. There is a thread on Hackintosh.Zone (I hope it is ok that I link to there) where a person has the EXACT same problem with the same comptuer (well, Precision T3400 at least) except the thread was never resolved (heck, nobody but him/her replied) and they stopped posting at the point where the boot flags seemed to be completely random as to which one would work any given day. https://www.hackintosh.zone/hackintosh-topic/2474-must-always-type-graphicsenablerno-to-boot-even-though-its-in-plist/ They, however, were using an old Nvidia Quadro 1700 which was based on the 8600GT - very old card, completely different drivers as far as I am concerned. I assume they were running Mavericks (april 2014). Any ideas!? This seems to be an undocumented problem, I've been searching around for over a week now while banging my head against the desk or giving up and using my old Radeon. My computer: Dell Precision T3400 Intel X38 chipset Xeon x3363 (with 771->775 conversion) 6gb DDR2 Yosemite 10.10.2 Everything ran totally perfect, as I mentioned, for a while. I have looked through my BIOS and found no settings that would seem to hint toward solving the problem. There are no onboard graphics and the only video settings in BIOS are to make it prefer PCIe or PCI (both options of which I have tried). I reset the BIOS many times. The BIOS clock does set itself to GMT time (I think, 6 hours ahead from my USA Central time which is -6GMT I beleive) whenever I shut the computer off. The ONLY thing that I can remember changing during the genera time period when it first stopped booting was that I added a second hard drive (main is 500GB and additional was another 500GB) so that I could run a 100% Time Machine backup. I am so lost.

  15. Well all day now ive been trying to get this working. And i managed to get it to go further than it would before. But then, when i boot it with -v bootflag, this comes up "USING 4587 BUFFER HEADERS AND 4096 CLUSTERS IO BUFFER HEADERS" and it wont go past it. Has anyone else come accross this problem and how did you go about fixing it, or how would i get past it? Laptop Spec: ATI Radeon IGP 345M 128mb Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHz 1GB ram
  16. I am new to this forum so be kind Before I begin, these are my specs: AMD Athlon II x4 ASRock N68C-S UCC mobo 8gb DDR3 Hyper X RAM Samsung Spinpoint 1tb HDD Ok so I have successfully installed Leopard on my build using iDeneb but I now want to install Snow Leopard using Hazard. This has worked before (a while ago) but I only had 1 hard drive at the time so I decided to scrap OSX and just use Windows. But now I have 2 hard drives and I want to install OSX again. The problem occurs after I have loaded Hazard with BootCD. When Hazards starts it opens a dark grey screen (no apple logo) and hangs their with the multicoloured mouse wheel loader thing spinning, I have left it for a good 10 minutes but nothing has happened? Suggestions please! Thankyou!

Mountain Lion on A6 - Clover issues

I have a laptop with an A6-3420M APU. The issue im having is actually booting Clover. I've used BootDiskUtility to create a Clover Bootable USB. The problem is that when I try to boot from the USB, I get a "7" in the top left corner of the screen and then the screen stays black. I've tried pressing other keys like 1,2,3 while its booting. I've tried booting UEFI [Pendrive] and just [Pendrive] in my bios(which i've updated to the latest version). All i'm getting is a black screen. I've even used different versions of Clover that say AMD Support. I extracted the PKG and put it on the flash drive. Still just get a "7" and then black screen. I can see that the resolution changes after it boots from the usb, though. Anybody ever have this happen? I can't find any information on it. Thanks, Robert.
  18. I'm installing Mavericks 10.9.1 on Dell Latitude E5420 I have got most of system to work fine. Anyhow I have weird issue with HD 3000 graphics. I'm not sure what might cause it. 19. HI, I'm new here and wasn't sure where to ask this but I am trying to install OS X Mavericks on my Laptop (Inspiron 17r SE 7720). I get to the screen prior to formatting the HDD with the images of what appear to be peripherals flashing on the screen, but i cannot continue or do anything because the resolution appears to be off. The apple logo screen was fine, but after that the screen appears stretched as if only half of the screen is visable. The pixels are clearly visible and the cursor moves far off the screen to the right. After a while it goes to sleep, and when i wake it up the grey areas of the screen turn either red or blue. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: Problem has been solved using DSDT=Null and config=null as well as -x. After which everything went beautifully.

  21. Dear, I have installed Mac OS X Mavericks on my hackintosh laptop (BTO S97V). My screen worked very good in Snow leopard (10.6.8), but in Mavericks, my PC crashes all the time. The specifications (are not quite right at the processor speed etc.): MacBook Pro (4,1) These are a couple of things the screen is showing, when it is going crazy: When I start my PC, and login to Mavericks, the screen right away is doing and showing strange things. First of all I can work on the PC, but I see well, a kind of 'color snow'. That 'color snow' is showing everywhere on the screen. After that snow, the screen starts showing things as above in the picture and then completely freezes. I can move the mouse for a couple of seconds, but after that, I can't do a thing and I am forced to shut the laptop down (hard reset). Does anybody have similar problems with this videocard in combination with Mavericks? Or can somebody tell me if I can do anything about it? Thanks in advance, Kind regards, EvilID

  23. Hi, I recently upgraded to 10.7.3 running on: MSI G31TM-P35, 4GB, Intel Quad-core Xeon @ 2.5GHz, nVidia 9800GT 1GB. I usually use 2 monitors, but since i've moved back to university after easter, i've had to use only one (the desk here is tiny). This wasn't a problem in SL, everything came back to one screen. Lion however, still thinks that there is 2 screens attached. I tried using only one monitor on either VGA or DVI output on the card, but nothing seemed to change it. I hit "Detect Displays" many times, to no avail. It's not that big a deal atm, because before i left i opened everything i use and moved it to the screen i'm using now, so now everything opens on the primary monitor. It's just annoying because i use hot corners, and i'm so used to going to the left corners for things, but it's quite hard when you've got to guess Many thanks in advance if you have any suggestions for me
  24. Hello, I've been trying to install osx lion n my dell xps m1330 via the ###### method from this guide. http://www.phacks.net/how-to-install-lion-10-7-2-on-dell-xps-m1330-using-usb-install-method/ One small change is that I have the x3100 version of the system. The problem is that the installation hangs at the install screen. I get past the boot and everything. Its when I'm actually at the GUI that everything randomly hangs. My usb normally flashes a lot portraying transfer but it just shows no light. I'm using the following tags to boot up into the installer. npci=0x2000 GraphicsEnabler=No USBBusFix=Yes -v -x Any help is much appreciated.
  25. Hi osx86 guys! I used nvinject without problems in a dual screen environment with Snow Leopard and a Laptop with GeForce 9200M GS. I updated to Lion 7.0 and I found a weird video effect using mission control and launchpad, and takes too long to start. If I use nvinject I get dual screen working but i get this video weird effect and if I use nvenabler I get rid of the video effect but dual screen doesnt work, I post both configurations on my lion desktop. How can I use nvenabler and get dual screen? Thanks in advance LEFT: nvinject RIGHT: nvenabler64
