Hi, I have a bit of a problem with Yosemite, I have it installed and all working fine on my PC except one thing.

It keeps rebooting whenever I:

  • Take a screenshot
  • Copy a file/folder
  • Click too many times
  • Hit a key too fast

I have full QE/CI working, tried repairing permissions and rebuilding cache but nothing I try seems to be working! Any help?

Thank you!

I have now fixed the issue, you need to get the right kext for your audio, it restarts every time a sound is meant to play. I got working kexts and It has stopped freezing and restarting! :)

i have no audio kext installed..just using hdmi toleda patch in DSDT

Just wanted to say I also had this issue and confirm the fix.

Most of my restarts it just suddenly went black screen and rebooted. One time though I got the kp text on screen and saw it was related to AppleHDAcontroller.kext swapping out the AppleHDA.kext for one which actually worked with my codec (AlC283) immediately solved the problem.
