There was a bug on the Intel side that a valid NVRAM could not be specified in the Intel 300 series of chipsets a while ago. After that, it turned out to be a problem on the Intel side, and SSDT-PMC was created. At that time, I could not turn off the power without using EmuVariableUefi.efi before solving the problem. It may be better to have an option that can be avoided. Thank you. I thought OpenRuntime.efi solved this but i guess not. Jief_Machak
@everyone : if you want to compile the latest commit, you have to recompile the basetools. Otherwise, you'll get a segmentation fault. "source edksetup.sh" and "Make -C BaseTools", I think should work... 1 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284656-clover-general-discussion/page/982/#findComment-2743411 Share on other sites

User can also select BuildMe script option for Basetools before build Clover (after update of course).@Jief_Machak @Slice Since commit 1148542 (Buildpkg and other files): the Clover EFI Backups is created on desktop instead of root (as before) even on Mojave (screenshot). AntarcticP
Hi Update to Clover 5126 went smoothly on my AMD desktop (FX 8350). The update from 5122 to 5125 or 5126 on my HP Envy laptop (i7-4700MQ, Graphics HD4600) and latest Catalina version is not working. I get to the OS select screen, but after selecting MacOS nothing happens. The laptop just hangs at the OS selection screen. If I choose Windows, that just works, so Clover seems to do something. Any idea? Thanks! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284656-clover-general-discussion/page/982/#findComment-2743435 Share on other sites

But Clover Backup's can be stored in /Documents instead of /Desktop. For the moment, all the limitations of the number of backups are invalidated. It would be nice to turn them back on, if that's possible. I have both OpenCore (0.6.3) and Clover (5126) working on my AMD FX hackintosh. So I am aware of the Quirks section in the Clover config.plist. On the HP laptop I also have a working OpenCore setup and Clover 5122. For the update to Clover 5126, I did adjust the Quirks section of the Clover config.plist and used the same settings that are working in my Opencore setup. All kexts are updated. Will check again on memory manager tonight --> I assume you mean I should delete the Aptioxxx fixes? Any other hints are welcome. I still like Clover bootloader, but it's getting hard to configure without good instructions. My Notebook 2 also having this X86PlatfromPlugin stall, and only booting after trying again. It's clearly some misconfiguration in config.plist, but I don't have that notebook recently so I can't debug it out now. Also I do have tx_flush msgs always, so I think that's completely normal and not related to our stall.
