i'm a bit late, but i had no choice, really...

Well i tried with bios 1.20 and all the settings like yours but it doesnt work... i have an apple usb keyboard.

i'm using Jas 10.4.7 and my system is overclocked to 320mhz fsb.

One last thing, there is a jumper setting that allow for USB devices to wake the system up. You have to set that right. I will check my manual. Be right back.

uh? i didnt know that, please tell me which one :)

Turn off your system with PSU switch.

Here is a small diagram of your mobo. Refer to 1 (PS2_USB_PWR1 Jumper]. As the name implies, it enables PS2 and USB devices to wake up the mobo. Short pin 2 and 3 (See page 16 of your mobo manual for further details). Pin 1 is closest to the cornor of the mobo.

Or thats not completely true :

- When it just turn off display but continue to run, if i move the mouse or hit any key of the usb keyboard, it turns on normally.

I noticed also that when i tried to make it sleep, it doesent really sleep : fans continue to run, HDD too, it just turn off display but there, i cant awake it.

i'm also thinking about making a topic for the few little things that makes our hackintosh system based on a conroe945G-DVI "unperfect" :

- Wake / Sleep statement

- Sound in

- Usb & Firewire 100% Compatible cards

What d'you think about it?

We have 3 people who got it working properly. So I know you can get it work properly. Just matter of time. I have had sleep/wake working with 10.4.4, 4.6, and now with 4.8.

Yes, go ahead.

i'm running 10.4.8 too... i think a good step is to know first, why my machine doesen't sleep completely (fans and Hdd still running) and then we can go further.

My machine was sleeping correctly under bios 1.00 and this problem appears for me by going thru the 1.20 update.

Yes, I agree.

I think mine started to work correctly with 1.1 (I have 1.2). I don't think it worked under 1.0 (too far back to remember).

sleep works well on my config

Great, 4th confirmation :thumbsdown_anim::angry:

but...when i want to restart after wake-it's shutingdown the system.

Yes. It happens on mine, too. I wasn't sure what to make of it (i.e., sleep and waking up puts processor in funky mode or sleeping puts OSX into a mode that does shutdown instead of restart). Lets narrow it down. What processor do you have?

Mine is Pentium D 805.

What´s the problem with Usb & Firewire 100% Compatible cards and this mobo?

HPET does not load on my Hackintoh (JAS 10.4.6 and 10.4.7). I get an error (yellow message with -v switch) stating that can not load HPET class. Any idea?

I am having ACER laptop with Centrino duo T2300 @ 1.66.

Please help, if you know something about it, since I do not find anything about it.

greetings

hm, i'll make some changes to bios settings.

i have P4 630 CPU

yes with via chipset, but i put it in another PC and just installed a usb 5 ports card with NEC chipset, no need for firewire to me.

the point is that this card with NEC chipset was working out of the box on a powermac G4, but in the hackintosh it wasn't recognised, both were running 10.4.7...

Now with 10.4.8 update from JaS, it works well, and thats great!

Fars,

I just tried with HPET enabled, and sleep works fine. So, I will just leave it enabled.

BTW, I'm running 10.4.4 from 10.4.4/5 myzar.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. With HPET, sleep works from menu, but automatic sleep fails. So you are right in that with HPET sleep doesn't work properly. I disabled HPET.

I revisited HPET issue with Kiko RC1 10.4.8. This version allows automatic/manual sleep and wake to works with HPET.

Hmmm...I not sure which framework is responsible for making this to work.
