Do I have to be talking to somone with video to play with the effects? in iChat go to Video>Show Video Effects There you'll find Sepia, Black & White, Glow, Comic Book, X-Ray, ect. All the effects are displayed on a really nice transparent flowing panel.

I found that transparent panel that you are refering too, but it only has 2 effects of witch the names arn't displayed and i can't tell the differenence between that and the regular picture. Yipee
Maybe the effects depend on the hardware. In particular of your video card.
trevor19
I can see all of the various Photo Booth style effects. Anyone find the video backdrop effects (or if they are included at all)?
Arthy
I can't find the backdrop effects. Anyone?
iDerf2006
I too only see two entries in the effects. It prolly has to do with graphics card, you're right.

I would think that might be it too, but all the effects work in photo booth, just not ichat and that doesn't make sense to me
stek1961
They are there, the effects window is a bit slow to respond so you mind be over-clicking. I'm on a bottom of the range G5 1.6 Steve
Christian Leduc
Backdrop, iChat Theater are features that are seemingly missing. Sorry! Anyone getting them?
Kazuran
After some deeper research, I believe iChat theater / Backdrops have not been inluded, but Video effects work, and we are trying to get Desktop Sharing to work if it works at all. Christian Leduc
It really looks like the Bdrop and Theater Effects are amiss. What a shame After all we're tough testers! If it worked on the keynote, we'll be happy still ;-)

grabberslasher
iChat theatre is available, but you invoke it from Quicktime, not iChat.
Adrian Fogge
Nice find Grabber.
hirshkis
Grabber what machine are you using? I am not having much luck. I can "invoke" iChat from within Quicktime but show no effects (lists 2 effecst but neither is a real effect) in iChat nor an option to use iChat Theater. Would someone kindly list the steps needed to get to (and use) iChat theater? Is there a Mac model requirment? For example, I am using a G4 but does it require a G5 or Intel Mac. Thanks top ayone who lists the needed steps.

macuser74
I have Dual 2 GHz PPC G5 and I cant get ichat theater to work. I can see the option "share with ichat" thru quicktime but when I choose it nothing happens. Any thoughts?
