  1. Followed your instructions and worked perfectly right off the bat! Thanks so much! One question, though - I've been out of the Hackintosh game for a long time (last version I installed manually like this was 10.4.3), so can I install updates such as 10.7.1 when that's released right from Software Update with no worrying? Thanks again!
  2. Hey all, I'll be going into college next semester for Multimedia Communications, so I'll be doing a lot of work with Photoshop, InDesign, that sort of thing. I'll definitely need a new computer for this, my aging 1st Gen Core Duo Macbook Pro just isn't up to it anymore. Out of curiosity, how well would an HP ENVY 14 hold up to what I want with Snow Leopard installed? The specs of the machine I'd be purchasing are... If anybody could help me out, that'd be excellent! Thanks!
  3. Take One, Leave One

    Cactus or Turnip?
  4. OSx86 on a Asus UX50V-RX05

I'm considering purchasing this laptop, too. It'd be awesome if somebody could confirm that everything's working.
  5. No need to look at the future - today's high end video applications already take advantage of quad-core machines. For your line of work, a quad-core will out perform a dual-core of similar frequency by huge numbers.
  6. How do you change ServerVersion.plist in the Snow Leopard disc, and manage to reconstruct it into a bootable DMG/ISO?
  7. WTB: iPod 30GB 5G Harry Potter

Just a quick little bump, I'm still interested in this if anyone's got one!
  8. Came home to my new MSI Wind and just found that. It's driving me absolutely up the wall. Really destroying what would otherwise be a perfect machine for me.
  9. Any Tiger DVD run on Intel D945GCLF?

I have the same exact problem as you... no luck over here. Anyone else?
  10. Hey everyone. I got myself an Intel D945GCLF specifically in the hopes of using it with Mac OS X Tiger and ATV4Mac, but am afraid I've had no luck with Tiger! I've got Leopard up and working 100% right now, and have tried a 10.4.9 DVD, as well as a 10.4.11 build. For giggles I also tried loading up my MacBook Pro's Tiger restore discs with BOOT-132, all to no avail. Is there any build of OS X (10.4.8 or higher) that is known to work on this motherboard? Has anybody tried? I can supply you guys a picture of the error message if anybody thinks they could troubleshoot and nobody knows of a DVD offhand. Thanks all!
  11. Simply press enter, than press enter again when the next screen appears. It'll cause it to boot from the default drive, which is the DVD drive in most cases. Hope this helps!
  12. This is indeed very real.
  13. I'm looking for a fifth generation Harry Potter 30GB model (note, not the fourth generation one). I'm willing to pay around $250 for it. If anyone has one around that they don't mind making a quick couple of bucks on, just drop me a PM or reply.. thanks! I really appreciate it.
  14. Put OS X on your 360!

I have no clue why I would lie about knowing a kid in some video... but OK.
  15. Semi-Official Intel DP35DP board thread

Just a tip for everybody, for me, Kalaway 10.5.1 doesn't work on this board at all. Period. But as soon as I discovered the iAKOS copy, under SATA as IDE, it installed and booted immediately and correctly. I used BootIt NG (a WONDERFUL boot loader and partitioning tool that I've been using for years) to dual boot between OS X and Vista, and it works flawlessly. Network and sound was an issue for me initially, but after inserting PCI cards to replace them there was no issue at all and now have myself a 100% working DP35DP dual booting Macintosh with vanilla kernel and all.
