I once believed that we are our country's future. I'm approaching my middle ages and it sure doesn't feel like I can make any difference.

No matter how much technology advances to try to catch terrorists and extemists, that deterrent will never win. You can invent a 100% effective chemical sniffer, you can racial profile all you want, you can snap pics from space, and you can have a million spies all over the world. The end result of all these put together is not even 70% effective. Terrorists will always change tactics the next time and the tax payers will have wasted billions in the technology.

Lets face it, terrorism has existed many, many years before 9/11, 3/11, 7/11, etc... These acts would have happened later if it had not happened on those dates. Something was lost in the past in the past 10-20 years. Something has fueled this hate of the west at some point. All sides need a dialog to be able to communicate in a diplomatic level. Each side has it's own political, financial, or alternate agenda. But without a common dialog, no side is a step closer to a common goal.

The senseless murder of civilians can not continue. If my plead isn't enough, have a look at a dead Lebanese 3yr old child held upside down with it's digestive system hanging out of him due to a "precision" bombing. A certain president does not help by playing "score keeper" between two opposing forces. Antagonistic comments at a press conference just furthers my disbelief of the current administration.

We need more women world leaders. That doesn't count C. Rice.

Or hillary, for some reason...I just dont trust her...(and im pretty liberal)

I have no problem with woman leaders though, no problems whatsoever :D

I hope its john mckain, he seems to be the republican with the most going for him, id totally vote for him, because he strikes me as an honest man, and thats more important to me than party lines

I wouldn't mind him, he's a very honest guy and I think he's a very strong man capable of leading a country. Although, I would like to get a firmer understanding of his views on some of the issues available before I would support him.

I could care less if they were Reps or Dems. What I'm hoping for the next candidates are stronger knowledge and background in foreign policies, deeper understanding of foreign cultures and religion, and ones who know how to communicate there actions though words. More importantly, a level headed candidate that knows how to solve issues in the home front without excluding any demographic areas.

It's a dream, but we all have them :)
