Yes, I am sure it does Joe, but that does not mean the XFX card will not work either.

 

Furthermore, we can extract the EFI firmware and try use it to initialize the card.

probable...they claim that can be installed 4x7300GT cards in MacPro....so why not

hmm.. those pins on the 7300gt (sold by apple) look like the place to insert an sli bridge.. maybe apple's engineers and driver developers are having trouble with mac sli drivers and will release sli variants of the mac pro (and possibly dual quad-core chips) when they have fixed the problems... i guess its possible but i dont know for sure.
