The machine I am using is a HP P6140-F, that has a Asus IPIBL-LB motherboard.

 

Northbridge is Intel G33 Express, and Southbridge is ICH9R.

I am using a Gigabyte GA-X38-DS4 motherboard with Q6600 clocked at 3.0ghz. Used Lifehacker method to install SL and DSDTSE to modify HPET, RTC, TMR, PIC. It runs SL 10.6.5 great except for sleep but I cannot use parallels or fusion- they freeze on VM install. Can use Virtualbox 3.12 but it pauses every few seconds and it will run better but slowly if I load balance with 2 vm's running. Usually 1st Core is at 100% CPU. This machine also runs Win7 and XP by using a 3 way SATA Power switch and have 2 IDE DVD's attached which run in windows. I switch the drives by changing power and bios from AHCI to Raid. Anything else I can edit or change ??

Hi,

 

I request you to kindly make an auto patcher for my system.I have attached the sendme.zip file as required,also attached is the patched dsdt.aml that I am currently using for comparison.This is not specific for my system but mostly working for me.So I hope to get a dsdt.aml specific for my system as HP have recently updated the bios for various series.

 

I am using 64 bit patched kernel with lapic fix.Most things work with the patched dsdt.For audio I am using patched AppleHDA.kext.

Thanks for the quick reply. Got a KP when I tried it -"should have 2 cores not 1....."

I downloaded your IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext.zip and noticed you got using the old one. I've done only a short comparison (included Info.plist).

Open sidebar Preferences…> Finder Prefrences>The checkbox between Hard disks and External disks works.

I request you to please compare my current patched dsdt that I am using with the one you have patched so that sleep and full graphic functionality can be achieved.

My S/L/E is completely retail except for:

 

1.Patched AppleHDA.kext &

 

2.ethernet kext.

 

My E/E has the following only:

 

1.AppleACPIPS2NUB.Kext

 

2.VoodoPS2CONTROLLER

 

3.VoodoBattery

 

4.FakeSMC (guess its 2.5.,cant use the latest 2.72 as it causes KP)

 

5.Patched IDT kext. for audio

 

Rest by patched dsdt.

 

So what do I do next?

I would be very grateful if you could help me patching my DSDT

I've tried many times but I'm not sure to have done everything well.

So I have a fresh install that I've just updated to 10.6.5.

I ran Myhackinstaller 1.1.4, and rebooted without DSDT.aml (32bit).

I will now run the latest version of Chameleon (678).

 

My specs are:

EP45-DS5

Q9550@3,2GHz

GTX285 1024MB

16GB OCZ Gold

Al889a internal sound card

Additionnal M-Audio 24/96 pci sound card

Chameleon rc5v678, (with "generate P and C-state" options)

Envy 64bit driver for my M-Audio sound card (works great)

 

Then I created my DSDT to which I applied some patches:

DGPT (but I did not see the difference between "before" and "after")

Alc889a

AZAL to HDEF

HPET

RTC

I wanted to install speedstep (4states 0-1-2-3) but "errors" so it is not installed

Do I need others?

 

Then I edited comm.apple.boot.plist to boot 64bit mode and I removed AppleRTC and NullCPU... to avoid kp

Kexts left are:

EvOreboot

FakeSMC

SleepEnabler (10.6.5)

IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector

 

I noticed that there is a little "contrast"problem with graphics (apple on the left corner is black and not grey to black)

 

Which improvements do you think I could apply?
