Do not use DSDT from other computer, in many cases even if the mobo and BIOS version are the same, the amount of memory, number of used memory slots, etc. can cause problems.

These patches were created using DSDT Editor and uses this new feature that extracts the DSDT, applies the patches, fixes known compile errors, compiles and saves the patched dsdt.aml in your desktop.

If you are using the Mac OS version of DSDT Auto-Patcher, do NOT use a DSDT replacement in Chameleon when you run the app, or it will be used as base for patching instead of the original one from BIOS. If you have a dsdt.aml in / or /Extra (or a specified file for DSDT key in com.apple.Boot.plist), remove it and reboot before running the Auto-Patcher.

Last updated on 05/04/2011

-New Mobos/Notebooks supported.

-Updated Patches

-More compilation errors auto fixed

(etc... etc...)

Hello,

I've got a new problem with DSDT Auto-Patcher. :)

It didn’t work with my system:

- Gigabyte GA-EX58UD5P (BIOS F13U)

- Intel 6 Core i990x

- 16 Gb RAM

- SATA HD and DVD

- nVidia 8400GS (GraphicsEnabler: Yes)

- Chameleon 2 RC5 v.823 (CStates + PStates YES)

- OS X 10.6.7

- Info File: EX58UD5_990x.zip

First times I worked very well with CPU i960 4 Core/8 Threads (F12 BIOS) with the first DSDT made by DSDT-Auto Patcher (the dsdt.aml file is in the "DSDT 1" directory).

But upgrading to CPU 990x (and F13U BIOS) I only saw 6 Core / 8 Threads (not 12) in OS X.

So I'm trying again DSDT-Auto Patcher, but it didn't work: you'll can see that errors in output in zip file.

Trying to help you, I extract via both OS X Terminal and Windows Everest the file in directory "DSDT 2" and "DSDT 3".

I also execute your "Run_Me" script: the output Zip is also in the Info File.

Any idea? Please MaLd0n save me! :D

DSDT Auto-Patcher is a Great Work for all the community! :D

APCTK.

...Tecra M5...

send me complete files

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=81816

Hi, here are the files. I had to remove Firewire kexts and nvidia has not recognized. But firewire is needed in this computer for audio/video purpose ... it's a texas instruments chipset, as you can see ... perhaps something has to be patched to get firewire working (dsdt or other tables but dunno how/which).

Here is send_me file:

Thanks!

Hi, thanks mald0n but unfortunately it doesn't work on M5 Tecra Toshiba. Firewire still gives kernel panic and nvidia is not recognized at all. I updated to 10.6.7 but same result. Do you think might something be done with it?

Thanks!

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1580979

Hi MaLd0n

Many thanks for your kindness.

These are the actions I have taken since:

1. I have downloded dsdt.hannah187.zip and extracted the dsdt.aml

2. I have placed these dsdt.aml in Snow Leopard root / and also in /Extra folder.

3. I have downloaded and installed the following kexts from these location:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...0&p=1580979

(Post #1)

AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext

VoodooPS2Controller.kext

GenericBrightness.kext

4. I could not find any AppleHDADisabler related text in this link so do not know what to do.

After performing all the above tasks, I had restarted my Laptop (Running Chameleon V2.0 RC5 -r747) and I do not see any improvements as yet.

Following are still not working:

1. No Sound

2. USB ports (hence cannot use external mouse and keyboard)

3. Brightness Control

When you get a sec could please suggest what else I need do please.

Kind regards

Hi MaLd0n,

The dsdt.aml you sent earlier, I did put in root as well as at /Extra. Nothing happened after rebooting.

See attached dsdt.aml after running your perl script.

I have looked into my S/L/E and could not find any VoodooHda and AppleHdaDisabler kexts.

Can you please tell me where I can get it from?

I the meanwhile I keep searching for these .kexts

NativePM use Chameleon

see the first post

post a photo --> KP

use -v

I'm using Chameleon, i've done that NativePM thing and it still hangs.

I can't post a photo, everytime i use -v the system boots succesfully, it just hangs when i don't use -v and that way i can't see KP...

you have to use the native power management

see the first post

dsdt.c0ke.zip

Hi MaLd0n

I'm sorry for delayed reply.

It works great, now I can put my inspiron 1545 in sleep mode and it seems that bootup and system are working quickly!

Now I would like to use AppleHDA instead of VoodooHDA, but I cannot figure how to do:

my card should be:

Codec : IDT 92HD71B7X

Vendor Id : 0x111d76b2

Subsystem Id : 0x102802aa

here's a codec dump from ubuntu. Could you suggest me how to enable it?

Thank you very much!

EDIT: I understand that the dsdt you gave me was prepared for the use with voodoohda, isn't it?

I've found that deviato has my same sound card and here he posted his patched appleHDA with his own dsdt.aml:

http://deviato.wordpress.com/2010/11/22/ap...-9-9f12-10-6-5/

I would like to mantain your dsdt advantages but using appleHDA kexts, do you have some advice?

USB

try it

USBBusFix=Yes

do you use original kexts or use USB roll back?

Audio

try another version

I'm using Chameleon, i've done that NativePM thing and it still hangs.

I can't post a photo, everytime i use -v the system boots succesfully, it just hangs when i don't use -v and that way i can't see KP...

:worried_anim:

GraphicsEnabler=Yes gives me a black screen. External monitor works fine

Example

Try changing order in _DOD

					Method (_DOD, 0, NotSerialized)
				{
					Return (Package (0x03)
					{
						0x00010110,
						0x00010100,
						0x0200
					})
				}

0x0100 = CRT

0x0110 = LCD

...

look at the deviato's DSDT and apply the same patch

use AppleHDA + DSDT

Try it
