Ok I have now played around with Digital Dreamer's installer as mentioned above but how does this work in Win7.. or Does it work in Win7 at all.. Point is my Snow Leopard installation does not work and only Win7 and Ubuntu is working at the moment.. So if I like to use Chimera as my bootloader how do I do it through Win7 please?

  6. I have downloaded MacOSX.10.7.Lion.Final.Retail file and now have Mac OS X Lion.dmg I only have Win7 and Ubuntu as my Mac OS SL is not working at the moment. Question: How can I burn this Mac OS X Lion.dmg to a bootable DVD with Win7/Ubunt? Please note I do not have a Mac so this task needs to be done in Win7/Ubuntu. Many thanks
  7. 10.6.8 officially released

hey thanks.. downloaded these kexts and replaced in S/L/E and then used the following bootflag: -v -f -npci=0x2000 ...however stuck at [PCI Configuration Begins] I have downloaded this bootfile and simply unzipped and moved to the root of the SL partition. This makes my laptop inoperable and it keeps restarting. Hence I started the laptop with Nawcom Boot CD and reinstated the old boot file. I yet to do Windows based Chameleon installer. Cannot install in single user mode as cannot get past [PCI Configuration Begins] even in this mode. Thanks to all again really..

What's next please..

thanks again.. installed MacDrive and got the dsdt.aml from the SnowLeopard root. Then looked into this post for the dsdt editor in Windows.. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...223205&st=0 Download the file DSDTEditor_Linux_Mac_Win.zip and extracted but do not know how to find the application to open dsdt.aml I must admit that I feel a little dumb at the moment.. in the meanwhile as well now that I have got an access to My SL partition through Windows I had replaced the following 2 kexts in S/L/E AppleACPIPlatform.kext IOPCIFamily.kext this replacement was done through Windows 7 and then restarted the laptop for Snow Leopard and still getting "PCI configuration Begin" anyway suppose the next step is to fix the dsdt.aml.. please help me with dsdt editor..how to edit my dsdt.aml
