Olá MaLd0n!

Right now I'm running OS X 10.6.8 (with #####) on my Hack, but as I'm not having a proper DSDT, there are some things which aren't the way the should be. There is a Autopatcher DSDT for my MB but not for B3 and the current EFI Bios - so it does not boot up and hangs with a kernel Panic. (CPUPowermgmt…) With NullCPU… it boots up, but it's all the same as not using a DSDT…

I tried to make my own DSDT with a help of tonymacx86's tutorial, but I failed. The MSI DSDT was too different from the Gigabyte DSDTs :)

…so maybe you could make a new DSDT?

I Attached the files, extracted after booting up with Chimera. I'm not able to boot up with a BootCD any more, I don't know why… tested everything, Hackboot V6, #####, ##### Legacy, -x, -v, PCIRootUID=1, GraphicsEnabler=no… nothing helps.

These are my specs, if you need them...

Core i7 2600K

MSI P67A-GD55 (B3)

*Realtek ALC892

*Realtek 8111E Ethernet

*VIA VT6308P Firewire

*NEC USB 3.0

8GB (2x4) DDR3 1333

Gainward GTX 460 GS 2GB

Apple AirPort Extreme (Broadcom BCM43xx)

2x Samsung SpinPoit F3 1000GB HDD

Sony Optiarc DVD-RW

I'm lacking Speedstep, Sleep - and for some reason: Firewire. :(

Hi there MaLd0n.

I'm trying to use the DSDT Z68 auto-patcher with these two errors:

[Line 208 type Error message Object does not exist (\_SB.PCI0.PX40.AG3E)]

[Line 214 type Error message Object does not exist (\_SB.PCI0.PX40.AG3E)]

What do they mean? How can I correct them?

My issue is this. I have a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 and everything works except that it won't run my overclock. It only reports (and runs) 3.4GHz. I am using a DSDT from tonymac's DSDT database.

Attached is my "send_me.zip". It'd be great if you could help me out. Thanks!

Thanks for your DSDT, I'm not using appleHDA but here is the kexstat of my PC.

I'll try to see if sleep works, but meanwhile I'll do more tests.

remove platformuuid

Let me know whether it is working or not.

I've removed platformuuid, and after tasting it sleep doesn't wakes up (monitor black).

Another issue that I'm having is USB, I can't unplug or replug USB devices, in other words if I want a USB device this has to be plugged before OSX loads if not then it cannot be added later after boot up.

My old DSDT had that fixed but I can't use it anymore on 10.6.8 so maybe you can look at USB part to see what was fixed and implement it with your new DSDT you gave me.

Here's the tread that talks about the USB Fixed for that motherboard using DSDT only

Hi MaLdOn, you seem like a busy man. I've installed lion GM, the install went well I've used your awesome auto-patcher, unfortunately sleep is about the only thing not working for my rampage II gene. I've tried the new sleepenabler64 but it doesn't work for me. I'm guessing I'll have to edit my dsdt can't find a resource to help me out any ideas?

Thanks, Sveg

Hi Maldon,

I sent this comment two weeks ago:

First of all, thank you very much! Your knowledge is greatly appreciated.

I have a motherboard GA-965P-S3 (rev 1.0) and Snow Leopard Server running on it. I use your auto-patcher to make the dsdt and everything works fine. But I have a problem with front USBs, USB hard drives and USB stick do not work on them (I have a USB bluetooth that works)

If I use NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and eliminated the dsdt, the front USBs work properly. I've tried it on Snow Leopard and Lion with the same results.

I have another question, I would like to know how to patch the AppleHDA.kext to run sound on Lion (I have ALC883), or if it's possible to add it in the DSDT.

Thanks in advance.

You asked me for de DSDT file and here is.

Hi MaLd0n and the rest of the dsdt experts in the community

I am trying to boot in 10.6.8 (clean + chameleon RC5 rev1083, installed and updated on desktop hack)

The notebook in question is the:

HP DV6 3122-sl

intel i5 460m

ati 5470 512MB

BIOS F23

for more detail check the everest report

I was trying to patch the DSDT in windows but it always gets stuck at patching (how long should that last?), then i tried to do it on another hack and it was successful, but the boot always stops a "DSMOS has arrived".

I suspect that the DSDT isn't made correctly since i have to boot with "CPUS=1" to even start booting. So i was wondering if u can give it a try.

Thx in advance.
