@MaLd0n,

I see from your signature you have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4. I have the GA-EP35-DS4. Do you have C states working on your mobo and if so what method?

Thanks

Hey Maldon

Nice word man, I've a Philco 10002, actually a very good netbook. It´s running 10.6.0. Could you apply the DSDT fix, below the zip files (DSDT, IOREG, Kernellog, kextstat).

Thanks,

Rednaz

WHat does your com.apple.Boot.plist look like? You have CSTinfo in your IOREG?

Thanks

You have CSTinfo in your IOREG?

yep

but my display or graphics card doesn't wakes up from sleep.

I also have a similar problem

must use the second DVI

works like a charm

I do not know if your problem is the same

@MaLd0n,

I don't have key PciRoot and string 1 in my com.apple.Boot.plist. I wonder if that would make the difference or not as to why CSTinfo is not in my IOREG?

This makes no sense I have the exact same Chameleon and the GA-EP45-UD3P auto patched. Yours is however a P35 chipset and mine is a P45 chipset could that be why?

LPC is loaded. I can't think of any other reason why CSTinfo is missing from IOreg?

Thanks

Thanks, I've attached the output from all these commands in text files within the zip file. ;)

EDIT: I plan on using Chameleon RC5 :)

PciRoot is not related to CSTInfo. Are you using GenerateCStates? Run bdmesg to check if it's working.

I had a similar problem after 10.6.5 update, missing CSTInfo in ioreg and high CPU temps, even with _CST in DSDT or using GenerateCStates. I did a clean install in other partition, updated via combo and all worked fine, then I installed 10.6.5 combo over my old install (updated via SU) and it fixed the CSTInfo problem.

Yes running both generate C and P states. I am on 10.6.4. I will check bdmesg.

I wonder if anyone else with this board or similar board has the same issue. Anyone with the Gigabyte P45 chipset MB I would like to hear from.

DSDT in Folder Extra or in the root system

unless you force them to read it in another location

use Wait=yes -v

NullCPUPowerManagement::start <--- ????

read the first post

use

CODE

<key>GeneratePStates</key>

<string>Yes</string>

<key>GenerateCStates</key>

<string>Yes</string>

Thank you MaLDon, could you be a bit more specific regarding read the first post, I have read it but I don't seem to be able to find your reference?

I have moved the DSDT to the extras folder I will try the Terminal commands this evening. Thank you once again for all your help and advice, cheers mate, Plucka

Hey MaLDon, I have done as you instructed, but still do not have the use of all my USB ports? I edited the com.apple.Boot.plist see pic and have moved DSDT to the extras folder and then rebooted with Wait=yes -v it started with verbose mode and then went straight to the desk top. I am at a bit of a loss as to why the USB ports arent working and also my onboard sound isnt recognized?

Thanks once again for all your patience and help, cheers mate, Plucka

Try with

USBBusFix=Yes

add in boot.plist

Patch HDEF is not in your DSDT, use VoodooHda

Maldon,

Thanks, indeed. It´s perfect. Running without problems. I will try it with other partition that has 10.6.5.

:(

:wacko:

@MaLd0n,

For the D830 everything works great except shutdown just a minor error. USB Disk Removal Error is also an issue with this Dell and has never been able to be fixed

Changed

    OperationRegion (PMRS, SystemIO, 0x0430, One)
   Field (PMRS, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve)
   {
           ,   4,
       SLPE,   1
   }
}

To

    OperationRegion (PMRS, SystemIO, 0x1030, One)
   Field (PMRS, ByteAcc, NoLock, Preserve)
   {
           ,   4,
       SLPE,   1
   }
}

And Followed AB____73's advice preserving the original PTS code and adding a GTS code Instead:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1448614

Final Code:

    Method (_PTS, 1, NotSerialized)
   {
       Store (SMI (0x46, Zero), MIS1)
       SMI (0x8A, Arg0)
   }

   Method (_GTS, 1, NotSerialized)
   {
       If (LEqual (Arg0, 0x05))
       {
           Store (Zero, SLPE)
           Sleep (0x10)
       }
   }

Hi, I see you experts add some extra in to the DSDT file ;)

But Should I also create a SSDT file ? in dropdown there are plenty different selection... :D

I have attached some files, so if someone can add the necessary Fixes and Hacks and changing in my system files to get my system running as the best it can, Then I would be so pleased :) ( I think I'm a noob)

Using boot loader C2 RC5 r650 See my spec below , running AMD

The files I included is, and please let me know if I should add more files.

com.apple.Boot.plist

DSDT.aml (original)

ioregfile.txt.zip

kernel logfile.txt.zip

kextstat.txt

smbios.plist

Peter’s Mac mini.zip (IO reg save)

Thanks

PS I have got some help previous , but not sure if my system is perfect tuned :lol:

Have a nice day, and thanks for a great FORUM :D

After removing the kexts the reboot don't work, but that is not critical right now :-)

Attached 2 file for your reference, should I also create a SSDT.aml file, if so how ? :-)

EDIT

Should I also remove

IOUSBFamily.kext

IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext

When you have fixed the USB in my DSDT file :-)

And what Hack/Fixes did you add so far?

Hi Maldon,

I have had the same motherboard like you.

How can you make your 889a working? please send me the necessary file.. thx

btw, I am using Nvida 9800gt, any idea which Nvidia patch should I use?

Thank!
