  1. How to upgrade Chamaleon 2.0 RC5 to 2.1?

What does Chameleon 2.1 do that 2.0 RC5 doesn't? Ive been a little out of the loop!
  2. Samsung NC10 UK revision

Fellow NC10 owner here, I'm running 10.6.8 and the only patched Kext's are for the GMA950 and AppleHDA. It works well once booted up. However occasionally it hangs when FakeSMC is loaded, here's a screenshot: Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did they fix it? Have you tried ukelele? http://scripts.sil.o...nrsi&id=ukelele
  3. aspire one aoa150 sleep and battery meter

I think Chamelion RC5 with P and C states is the way to go if you want working sleep. I haven't pulled it off myself, but someone else on here has...
  4. DSDT Auto-Patcher

Thanks, I've attached the output from all these commands in text files within the zip file. EDIT: I plan on using Chameleon RC5 dsdt.zip
  5. Sleep issues with ich8

I'm running a very similar board to you, I have rev 3.3 as opposed to rev 1.3. One thing you may want to try is upgrading to the F14 BIOS, as seem seems you're running F12 if your sig is up to date!
  6. Snow Leopard works in GA-965P-S3

You could use some shellscript to recreate your modified kext, so once you do the update all you have to do it run your shellscript and you should be good to go.
  7. 965P-DS4 Success with Retail 10.6 - 64 Bit

Nice to see this thread all about the P965 DS4, has anyone tried the new Chameleon RC5 with the board? It should makes things easier as you need less DSDT tinkering.
  8. DSDT Auto-Patcher

This looks like a great bit of software and there seems to be loads of Gigabyte board supported which is nice. I'm running the rather ancient Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 r3.3, which I think is ICH8 and uses the ALC888 for sound. How easy would it be to add this board to auto-patcher?
  9. Thanks, I've give MacPro3,1 a go. Another user with the same Netbook as mine (Acer Aspire One) has managed to get Sleep working with this new version of Chameleon, so I think C-states are generating Ok. So far no one seems to has managed to get Speedstep on the CPU to work (yet!) without extra extensions like VoodooPower so P-states are going to need some more work though...
  10. Hi, does anyone know which MacBook model I should put in my SMBIOS.plist file if I'm using an Atom based Netbook or will this make no difference as no MacBooks exist with an Atom CPU?
  11. Thanks, I'll check out LegacyRTC, it sounds like it could be the way to go.
  12. Ok, thanks, it looks like I may have to make a separate USB stick for each of my systems then.
  13. This thread is rather long at 52 pages so forgive me if this has already been asked... Does this new version allow you fix the RTC CMOS reset problem without DSDT editing? I only ask because I've made a USB stick to install OSX from, and it's annoying that I lose all my BIOS settings when I do this. I would put DSDT on my USB stick but I am using it on more than 1 kind of PC...
  14. Hi, is there anything special you need to do before and after running the 10.6.4 update? I've heard you may need a new kernel, is this true?
  15. No one has cracked the sleep issue yet afaik. VoodooPS2controller works well tho, it can even save you having to plug in a usb keyboard and mouse when you need to install SL.
