Any help? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi, Stay away from the "LK" motherboards. Their network chipsets are not supported by OSX. I recommend you the D915GAVL or D915GEVL. Both are identical motherboards, except for the memory type used (DDR2 on the last one). Good luck!
Hagar
You state that sound is important to you: Whilst any board wtih a GMA 900 appears to have acellerated graphics (QE & CI), the boards that use the Realtec ALC860 audio codec have sound issues. at best they have sound output only. You should check this. I know it affects the D915GAVL, & IIRC the GEVL, GAUX & several other boards as well. Choose carefully for an easy life with OSX86. Good Luck. Well, a 945G board also has accelerated graphics and HD audio (no input yet tho). But, you need to feel like editing kexts and things which you probably won't have to on a 915 system. I thought GMA900 (video on a 915G) was the only chipset able to support accelerated graphics. Unfortunately, I've just bought a 915GEVL motherboard. Should I try to return it to the seller and buy a 945 instead? Is a 945 mobo fully supported? Sound? Networking? USB? Firewire? Thank you!
cyrana
Check the success forum. Everything works except for sound input (but that is sometimes a problem on 915). Of course, you need to edit like 5 kexts to get 945 to work whereas 915 should sort of work out of the box for most people. I'll have definite confirmation on if my dual-core 830 is working as 2 CPUs soon. It shows up as two CPUs in some programs, but not others...won't have CHUD tools on the box for a few days though to double check.

Please let us know when you have definitive confirmation. The possibility of having a dual core 830 working is a temptation... I think I'll replace my just bought D915 mobo with a D945. zedzed
I tried to install on Intel BLKD915PBLL Using Hotiso 10.4.6 Video card = Sapphire x1600pro During the installation I get past all the install and then it hangs on grey screen with Apple logo and the little bars in circle. Then pops up a graphic 'no symbol' comes up (circle with slash through it) Has anyone successfully installed on one of these mobos? Update: I am starting to wonder whether this mobo works. Hard drive problems or something. Tried installing on IDE and on SATA but no go. Windows installs OK but not Hac

Any help? I bought the D915GAGL, and for the purposes of building something comparable to a Mac mini (Core Solo) that can run OS X with minimal patching needed, I couldn't have been happier with it. I initially wanted the D915GLVGL, but in the states, it's practically non-existant, nevertheless, I'd whole-heartedly recommend the D915GAGL (or the D915GAG for that matter; they are VERY closely related). Northern Paladin
I have a D915GAG and installed Jas 10.4.7 ISO and then applied the Jas 10.4.8 update. I am a PC/Windows guy and this was my first stab at MAC (I had a spare 20GB PATA drive and thought what the heck...) Anyway I was very suprised and impressed that everything seems to be working... except sound. I was really shocked at how much Internet surfing was (compared to Firefox on XP). Video with lots of resolutions and refresh rates, USB keyboard and mouse working, able to read my NTFS partion on a SATA drive (which is more than I can say for XP which can't read the Mac PATA drive!). I have not checked the Firewire yet.
